Created by former collegiate All-American volleyball player and actor Jason Olive (currently starring on the TV show ‘Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse’), the Jayo Invitational is the country's most prestigious Celebrity-Pro-Am volleyball event. It is a best-of-brand event that combines the world of sports, health and sustainability with the world of entertainment, showcasing the top names in the sport alongside stars from TV, film and music. Proceeds from the 2013 event benefit the United State Youth Volleyball League (USYVL) in their ongoing mission to make their top tier volleyball program accessible to every child in the United States regardless of their financial ability. The program currently serves over 6,000 children. 3 time Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh Each year the Invitational has welcomed more and more sponsors looking to take part in this exciting beach event. As participation has increased the Jayo Invitational continues to be a first class ambassador of the Southern California Lifestyle and a driving force in the philanthropic community. CORPORATE CHALLENGE The main event of the Jayo Invitational is the Red & Blue Celebrity-Pro-Am Corporate Challenge. Here pro-beach players, Olympic team members and celebrities compete in a pool play tournament format and volleyball fans are given the chance to play right along side of them. Each team is composed of up to 10 adults, at least one professional or Olympic player and one celebrity guest. Teams battle it out in six-on-six play narrowing the field down to two teams who compete in the finals for the Hands Of Gold Trophy. World Champion Holy McPEak CORPORATE CHALLENGE FORMAT - The Corporate Challenge will be played in accordance with Official FIVB rules. FANTASY VOLLEY The Jayo Invitational is the only volleyball tournament in the world that gives the public a chance to rent a world class athlete to play right along side them. Each six person team gets one Pro or Olympian volleyball player as their Team Captain and one celebrity. Teams can then rent more pros with a donation to this year’s beneficiary. As teams reach the final rounds of play the dollar amounts for renting pros goes up. So bring your A-GAME and your Managers cap because this is - fantasy sports… but for real!
