It has been the longtime dream of Mr.
Rick Herron to own his own theater and
now with the help of his father, Duke
Herron, that dream is coming true. Father and son put in countless hours
restoring the historic Crown Theater to
downtown Collinsville. Having worked
as a promoter in country music Rick
Herron chose country music to be the
venue of his longtime dream. The refurbished movie theater now stands as
one of only a few country music halls in
Oklahoma. Herron’s Crown Opry Theater now also stands as a constant memorial to the elder Herron who worked
so hard to see it come to pass before
passing unexpectedly in April 2013.
Before his passing Duke Herron, made
it his mission to personally invite and
welcome countless patrons to the Opry.
He was able to see numerous talented
