Carencro Council #6958 offers annuity for incoming Squires
St. Peter Council #6958 voted to congratulate Squires who become Knights
and join their council by awarding them
with an Annuity. Grand Knight,
Matthew Arceneaux said the Council
made the move because “We value our
Squires and want to congratulate them
in their passage to Knighthood”
across the state to follow the example
council #6958 has made and invest in
Squires. The State Chairman said quote
“If the rest of councils would do something similar we can leave this great
order in good hands. I’m very Happy!”
The State Squires Chairman, Kerry
Williams called Council #6958 TRUE
LEADERS and encourages councils

A Message from the State Squires Chairman,
Kerry Williams, Jr
Most reverend Clergy members, Worthy State Officers, Worthy State Family Members, and Brother
First, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Please remember that Jesus
is, “The REASON for the
SEASON and to KEEP CHRIST
IN CHRISTMAS!” Secondly, I
want to thank God for his
healing hands and everyone
for all the prayers and well
wishes for my wife Stephanie. My family and I are
truly grateful! I especially
want to thank our State
Deputy Vernon Ducote for
his exemplary leadership
and guidance, along with
the State Council Officers,
Squires State Officers, and
my State Committeemen
for their continued support
and faith in me. I’m truly
humbled and grateful. I
want to give a special
thanks to our Past State
Squires Chairman (2010 –
2014) George Martin
(current State Membership
Director/Committeeman)
for continuing to include
the Squires within his membership programs. Great
Job George! I also want to
thank Past State Squires
Chairman (1996 – 2010)
and DD# 56 Marvin Guillot
for reactivating Plaucheville
Circle #5366 on November
7, 2014 with sixteen new
members and as of last week they added one more member for a total of 17. Great Job Marvin!
Registration for all
State Events will be
done online at
lasquires.org!
Registration is open
Please remember to pray for our brothers and sisters who are alone this Christmas season. Many
people are in need of a Christmas Miracle and let’s pray that Jesus will come and comfort them. I
want everyone to look in the mirror and ask yourself, Lord what can I do to be a better Squire/
Knight? How can I make a difference? Ask God how you can serve Him better, be a better son,
brother, nephew, student, friend. David Cameron once said, “Christmas gives us the opportunity to
pause and reflect on the important things around us -- a time when we can look back on the year
that has passed and prepare for the year ahead.” Please take this time to find your inner YOU.

A Message from the State Chief Squire, Mathew
Massey
Wow! Time
sure flies by –
especially
during the
holiday season! What a
great time of
year it is with
family and
friends all
around! November was
the Christ child grows in the hearts of our
Squires and their families this Christmas.
May God bless you all! Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year!
full of thanks and giving – not
just the holiday either! All of the
circles across our state joined in
community service. Louisiana
Squires showed the love of
Christ through activities like
food drives, wheelchair ramp
building, and so many other
helpful projects!
Just a few weeks ago I had the
privilege of being at the installation of a new circle at St. Luke’s
in Slidell. Our fraternity has
grown with these young men
and I pray that we see many
more! May we continue to grow
in number and deepen in our
faith as Squires!
Advent has been bringing us
closer to Christmas each day.
We are closer to fun times with
family, good food, and gifts. Of
course the greatest gift was
God’s son – Jesus! I pray that
