5 Stealth Acoustics LR6 15 Stealth Acoustics LR8 2 Stealth Acoustics STH-B30G subwoofer amplifier 2 Bose DS16F Flush mounted speakers 3 Bose DS16S wall-mounted speakers 2 Crestron C2NI-AMP 4X100 audio amplifier Conference and press room 1 Barco PHWU-81B Villa Zito is located in Palermo and takes its name from one of the last owners of the house, the citrus fruits trader Francesco Zito Scalici, who bought the building in 1909. Its current appearance is due to the intervention carried out, during the first quarter of the twentieth century, by the architect Michele La Cavera. He was hired by Francesco Zito to spruce up his residence, in keeping with the prevailing taste of the period. The result was an elegant residence in line with sixteenth century classicism. The facade was re-done with ashlar stones, complete with mini temples carved into the walls, highly decorated and complete with balconies on the side. Nowadays, it is a museum run by the Fondazione Siclia, and hosts a large collection of paintings dating from the seventeeth to the twentieth centuries. The collection also includes graphic works, mainly maps. A majestic building of extraordinary beauty, which in order to be “updated” technologically, needed the expert hands of trained professionals. Therefore the partnership between Creston and G Studio was formed and they set about refurbishing the technology in the villa. Lighting: the overall project For the installations at Villa Zito, Creston turned to G Studio, one of the expert installers from the automation sector, who completely re-designed everything. On every floor of the building there are area racks with a dedicated processor (DIN-AP2 Crestron), which are controlled by general supervision processor, still from Creston –a CP3 model. Every floor is also equipped with a touchscreen (TSW-750 Crestron) for the management of the installations in various areas. It is, however, also possible to operate these systems from personal devices (iOs and Android tablets), with personalised graphics and specific applications. On each floor there are switches (five DIN-8SW8 per floor) to turn on the service areas and outdoors. Furthermore, in all 24 exhibition rooms, you can control the lighting from every chanel from every individual room, either from touchscreen or mobile device, as well as creating up to three customised settings for the various environments. Within each exhibition room, there is instead an eletrical panel for the Creston module (DIN1DIM4), responsible for dimming the Flos spotlights on the supply track, dedicated to lighting the works of art. In order to make their settings completely independent, the system is linked to an astronomical clock. The whole building block is littered with motion sensors so that the software can detect the presence of people and thus can adjust the lighting depending on whether guests are present in the room or not. 3 Monitor NEC LED 21,5” Wide (speakers’ preview) 1 Monitor 65” Panasonic TH-65LFE7E Multimedia room 7 NEC NP-PA500X 5 projection screens Room per room The greatest strength of Villa Zito is the room for videoinstallation mapping, with five motorised screens and seven NEC projectors (NP-PA500X) which can screen videoart and video-mapping, in edge blending. An Elmo burglar alarm is capable of checking the sensors scattered around the Villa, with real-time updates of any faults and anomolies, shown on the management software. This allows you to turn on or off the entire system or individual zones. The video surveillance part (also from Elmo) uses a montion detector software, which promptly alerts the operator with a pop-up on the screen. The Creston software also effectively manages the sprinkler system in every room, displays faults, malfunctions or alarms. In terms of air conditioning, Daikin products were selected, completely integrated through the dialogue protocol Modbus IP. The thermoregulation is regulated by 3 UTA Sauter integrated with Bacnet IP, which ensures the temperature is regulated in every room through control panels. In the multimedia audio room, there are LR8 speakers from Stealth Acoustic, which gurantee high- 22 MIR
