I hope last year was great, but more importantly, I
hope 2016 is even better! I believe that it is vitally important to strive for continuous improvement in both
our personal and professional lives. To that end, I have
some ideas that I will be sharing with the Board of Directors that I hope will shape the Chamber’s trajectory
this year. I would like to invite all of our members to
participate in this process of making the Chamber better fit your needs. Let us know what we have done
right, and how we can better serve you; not just at at
the new year, but always.
Now for some event announcements:
Passion, Community, Success
The Greater Camillus Chamber of Commerce (GCCC) is a dedicated group of businesses and individuals that are passionate
about advancing the commercial, financial,
industrial, and civic success of the Greater
Camillus community. Our mission is to enhance the economic growth of the Greater
Camillus area by providing educational &
networking opportunities, promoting member
businesses, education, and advocating the
benefits of living and working in the Greater
Camillus community.
January 20th is our annual chili cook-off and officer
induction. I love chili, so this event is one of my favorites! Dig out your crock pot and your favorite chili recipe and let the judging begin. There will be a prize and
bragging rights for the winner! We will also be welcoming our new officers and directors with a brief ceremony presided over by Justice Stephen Poli.
As always, if you have any ideas for future events or
for ways that the Chamber can better serve you, please
contact me or any of the officers and directors. On behalf of the entire board of directors, I wish you all a
happy and prosperous 2016!

A Great Opportunity from the Camillus Ski Association
The CSA is a non-profit organization that runs a small community oriented Ski Area in Camillus. We
are offering all members of the Greater Camillus Chamber of Commerce (GCCC) a unique opportunity to
help this great asset to the Camillus community and get great exposure for your company directly to
many of the residents of Camillus and surrounding communities. As you may know the CSA opened a
brand new Tubing Park at the Camillus Ski Hill. We initially started out with 50 tubes, which were
bought with a donation from First Niagara Bank. In return, their company logo was printed on each of
the tubes. It was great advertising for them and helped us make the Tubing Park a success. The popularity of this venture made us realize that we needed more tubes. For that reason we are looking for
sponsors to help us achieve our goal. These tubes are made of heavy duty, commercial grade, materials,
and cost $150 each. To make this happen we are offering each of the GCCC businesses an opportunity to
advertise on our tubes for only $150. With 25 businesses each contributing this reasonable donation, we
would be able to purchase 25 tubes. A custom designed logo (14” x 9”) with the name of all of the contributing companies would be printed on each of the tubes. For a $150 tax-deductible donation, your company name would be displayed on 25 tubes. These tube covers, with the logo on them, can last more than
15 years. For this very small investment your company will be getting many years of steady exposure
and advertising with no further expense.
An additional opportunity is available for those who want to have only their company logo printed on a
number of tubes. To make this option happen we are asking that your company match a gracious $1,000
contribution that was already donated. We would use the combined $2,000 to purchase at least 13 tubes.
All of those tubes would have only your company name/logo on them.
We would like to place an order for these tubes, by early to mid-January 2016. If you are interested in
being a part of this GCCC combined logo, or investing individually in a smaller order of tubes, and having your company’s logo seen by countless potential customers, please contact me as soon as possible.
