Superstars Mike, Margaret and Kelly Smith Wine in the Pines was founded 29 years ago by Mike and Margaret Smith, owners of Dillon Ridge Liquors in Summit County. Their vision was to create an event to help people like their daughter Kelly, who has Cerebral Palsy. CP of Colorado’s Employment Works program, located in the Kelly Smith Employment Center, headquarters in Denver. CP of Colorado’s Employment Works program, located in the Kelly Smith Employment Center, reaches over 4,700 people with disabilities annually across the state. The center helps everyone, regardless of ability, reach their potential through job training, benefit planning and other services. Employment Works is dedicated to helping individuals with challenges and barriers become self‐sufficient and independent through meaningful employment. Cerebral Palsy of Colorado serves over 40,000 people statewide with a wide variety of abilities through early education, statewide family support and referral services and the employment program. Wine in the Pines draws up to 1,200 people, all there to enjoy reserve wines, exquisite cuisine and to benefit the well respected nonprofit, Cerebral Palsy of Colorado.
