With over 30 dog parks and 3 off-leash beaches throughout the city, your dog will love Kamloops. They are located at Riverside, Albert McGowan, Prince Charles and McDonald parks. Lac du Bois Grasslands Protected Area. Just a few kilometers from the city centre, the spectacular grasslands are the showcase of the Lac du Bois Grasslands Protected Area, where you can enjoy hiking, cycling, fishing and nature viewing in a 15,000 hectare area that encompasses two ecological preserves. Approximately 30km south of Kamloops, Lac Le Jeune is a popular 213 hectare recreation area where you can camp, swim, hike, bike, boat, fish and enjoy a spectacular natural setting surrounded by lodgepole pines and a protected marshland.
