New Members
As we move into the warmer weather, it’s been fun to have the
back garage door open again and see so many friendly faces
coming through the door. It also gives me the chance to see
many of our members out driving their summer cars that have
been stored for the winter.
The Club is celebrating all things Indy during the
month of May. Robert Prilika and the Hoffpauir brothers with
LoopHill Racing have provided some great cars on display.
The Club will be open on Sunday, May 24th for members to
watch the Indianapolis 500 on the big screen. We will also be
having an Open House that day for the community to stop in
and see what Johnny Martin’s is all about. Please encourage
your friends who might not have had a chance to experience
the Club to take this opportunity to come down and see us.
Chef Nick is working on creating new lunch and
dinner menus that will still have some of the Club classics, but
also represent his style of cooking. I’ve seen some of the items
he’s working on and I think members will be very pleased with
what’s to come!
Cheers to the beginning of a great summer and I look
forward to seeing our members this month celebrating at the
Club!

Get ready for a spectacular evening at Johnny Martin’s Car Central. Chef Nick Lachman has
prepared a special dinner menu that will pair perfectly with six specially selected wines from
the right bank of the French Bordeaux wine region.
The menu will feature Brie tartlets with a celery apple slaw,
a soup and salad duet, duck, and short ribs.
Ross Seville, from Classic Wines, will be here to lead the wine tasting. The featured wines will
be showcased in the Enomatic at Johnny Martin's Car Central after the tasting. Members will
have the opportunity to expand their personal wine collections with a discounted offering of
the selected wines from Broadmoor Wines that evening

This class is a taste-testers dream! Nibble your way through an
evening of savory cooking creating authentic Spanish tapas.
Flavorful items such as olives, cured meat and cheeses, jardiniere,
Spanish tortilla, calamari, patatas bravas, setas al ajillo, and gamba
al ajillo, are samples of what will be made. Grab a friend and join
us as we celebrate...Spanish style.

on the past month. Teams will bring
their finished cars and Johnny and
Ryan Martin will be judging the cars
and handing out awards.

Featured Members:
Maryann & Gary Markle
Gary grew up on his grandfather’s horse farm in
Ohio and owes his passion for horses to him. He
taught him to break and train horses for pleasure.
Gary continues to enjoy the western way of life and
is a member of the Pikes Peak Range Riders and past
President of the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. Gary is
currently Market President of Central Bank & Trust,
making it easy to visit the club often.
Maryann has been a runner for over 40 years and
has lost count of the number of times she has run
the Pikes Peak Marathon; she thinks it’s at least 20.
Maryann and Gary Markle have been part of
Johnny Martin’s Car Central from the very
beginning, as they are one of the thirty three
founding members of the club.
Gary and Maryann’s newest interest is classic trucks
with their first purchase being a fully restored 1949
GMC long bed truck.
They have been married for thirty years and have
three adult children (Heather, Lacey and Daniel)
and four grandchildren (Kaylea, Violet, Noah and
Grace).
The family loves to spend most of their “off” time at
their ranch in Cripple Creek where they enjoy long
trail rides, chasing cattle, fishing, ATVs and
participating in most outdoor activities.

Alexander Schnepp
Alexander Schnepp is extremely excited about being a
part of the Johnny Martin’s team. Alexander grew-up
in Colorado Springs and graduated from The Colorado
Springs School. He enjoys playing golf, hiking,
skateboarding, and being very active outdoors. Currently
Alexander is bussing/serving at JMCC while he is
attending UCCS to earn a business degree, but is also
very intrigued the with geology curriculum.
Alexander has always been interested in cars or anything
that can go fast! He has been a part of the restaurant
industry since he was fifteen. Alexander’s work ethic and
commitment to the club is apparent each and every day.
He truly enjoys the interactions with the
members of JMCC and his co-workers,
which is reflected on his permanent
smile.
