Prowise is a company based in the Netherlands. Prowise products are currently used by many countries in Europe including those identified by the OECD’s report “Measuring Innovation in Education” as having the most innovative education systems. Prowise provides both hardware and software to support European educators “Teach by inspiration”. The company has developed a range of interactive flat panels for the pedagogical requirements of teachers. The panels can be fixed or mobile units which come with a bespoke lift and trolley enabling teachers to use the panel in a range of modes. The interactive panel can be moved around the learning space for whole class, guided activities or small group collaboration. With a push of a button the interactive panel can be laid flat becoming a collaborative table. Teachers therefore have the benefit of different ways to enhance learning using the one interactive flat panel. Prowise Presenter Is screen- independent cloud software that teachers can access from anywhere on any type of laptop, tablet, iPad, PC or digital screen at home or at school. Prowise Presenter software supports the hardware as well as any digital screen across the school and is FREE. Prowise Presenter has built-in tools and thousands of free lessons developed by teachers making working with a digital screen easier and more innovative. The software has a comprehensive range of professional instructional tools, which teachers can combine to translate their knowledge into exciting and effective lessons. Most importantly The fact that Prowise software is cloud based means that schools no longer have to store content locally and install complex software onto their devices. As schools increasingly adopt BYOD, or BYOT finding software that can be used on all devices and which teachers can seamlessly use from the classroom to the home is very important. Software like this can provide significant benefits to teachers in terms of efficiency and enabling effective collaboration. The system allows education settings to work together to deliver practical teaching and learning support which is purposeful, reflective, authentic and contextualised. An effective sound field amplifies the decibels of speech and distributes sound throughout the space. Each student is able to hear and understand what the teacher is saying no matter where they are in the classroom. In particular, the system also supports students with hearing impairments including Otitis Media. The Magic Planet® is a digital video globe – a digital projection display with a sphere-shaped screen. It allows you to view and explore dynamic digital media that helps to explain our world. It’s proven to significantly increase comprehension, as well as participation and collaboration in K-12 classrooms. He was to take his first solo plane ride up to Sydney to participate in a video conference live from Rugby League Central. Lynch was travelling for the first time without his teammates and coaches by his side and for the young man from country Cowra, a whole new experience awaited. Over one hundred students from three NSW schools joined the Eat Well Play Well Stay Well video conference to hear Lynch’s views on the importance of making healthy food choices. Lynch also shared how eating well benefits his health and fitness, impacting positively on his ability to play good football. The children even got a sneak peek into Jeff’s lunchbox as he explained his various food choices and preferences. Students were invited to interact with a blindfolded Jeff as he was challenged to a ‘celebrity head’ inspired game of guessing the healthy food choice. The session culminated in a structured Q & A providing students with an opportunity to ask Jeff questions pertaining to his career, Rugby League and lifestyle choices. Nutrition, an integral element of multi-faceted Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well video conference reinforces the value of healthy food choices that are conveyed to students in Australian schools each day, complimenting the good work already done in schools. NRL One Community will soon launch an exciting new interactive online game for teachers to incorporate into their classroom to complement their health programs. Students select an avatar and can theme the game to their favourite NRL club. The avatar visits the field, canteen and even the merchandise store as their teacher’s track their progress. Following video conferencing’s successful debut at Rugby League Central in May, the NRL One Community Learning with League team, in collaboration with a number of clubs have been welcomed into Australian classrooms in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia to deliver key messages through curriculum linked Literacy, PDHPE and values-based programs. Term 4 is destined to bring even more exciting opportunities for children to engage with the stars and ambassadors of our game.
