(8 November 2015 – Hong Kong) Asia’s leading cosmetics retailing group, Sa Sa International Holdings Limited ("Sa
Sa" or "the Group"; stock code: 0178), and The Hong Kong Jockey Club ("HKJC") hosted the 11th “Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse
Day” at Sha Tin Racecourse today. Dr. Simon Kwok, JP, Chairman and CEO of Sa Sa; Dr. Eleanor Kwok, BBS, Vice
Chairman of Sa Sa; Dr. Simon Ip, Chairman of the HKJC; and Mr. Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, CEO of the HKJC,
were all in attendance to support this annual prestigious event.
Sa Sa invited celebrities and socialites from the social, business and horse-racing circles to join in the celebration.

for one of the most anticipated annual events on the local horse racing calendar and cheer on the winner of the
well recognized “Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse”.
Collaboration Across Regions gives Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day an International Flavor
Famous Asian actress Ning Chang, this year’s Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day ambassador, caught much attention with her
elegant outfit and fashionable headwear. On the track, the highlight of day Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse is a Class HKG3 race,
run over 1800m with total prize money of HK$3 million. After the race, Dr. Simon Kwok, Dr. Eleanor Kwok and Ms.
Ning Chang presented the souvenirs to the winning owner, trainer and jockey, praising their achievements and
wishing them more success in the future. Following the presentation, Dr. Simon Kwok and Dr. Eleanor Kwok joined
Dr. Simon Ip and Mr. Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges to toast the magnificent winner of this prestigious race and
celebrate yet another successful Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day.
At the event, Dr. Simon Kwok said: “On this 11th annual Sa Sa Ladies Purse Day, I would like to thank the HKJC for
their continuous support which make the Sa Sa Ladies Purse Day one the most anticipated annual horse racing
events in Hong Kong. I believe Sa Sa and the HKJC will continue to work together and bring even greater excitement
and color to the event and make Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day even more successful in the future.”
The tradition of Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day has elevated this spectacular event to the international platform. This year,
Sa Sa invited Britain’s famed hat designer Piers Atkinson to collaborate with renowned local designer Chailie Ho and
create the “Horse-in-Style” fashion show and encourage fashion cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and other
countries.
Celebrities and socialites from the social, business and horse-racing circles were on hand
to celebrate the
successful partnership between Sa Sa and the HKJC by donning their most spectacular attire on the theme of “Be
Beautiful · Be Part of It”, and participating the Sa Sa Best Dressed Award and Best Hat Award.
Fun and festivities at Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day with a Limited Edition Brooch for Participants
Along with the feature race Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse, today’s other races were also named after Sa Sa’s popular
international brands. These included the Maria Galland Handicap, L’Oreal Paris Handicap, KOSE COSMEPORT
Handicap, REVLON LOVE IS ON Handicap, Suisse Programme Handicap, Elizabeth Arden Handicap, KATE Handicap,
Hadatuko Handicap, Cyber Colors Handicap and La Colline Handicap.
A series of exciting and fun-filled activities were arranged including a Sa Sa make up counter; a Sa Sa sales bazaar; a
selfie photo booth, the Best Dressed Award, and a Ladies’ Purse Day souvenir counter, among other activities. To
ensure that guests end the day with great memories, each entrant received a limited-edition brooch. This
beautifully designed memorial brooch include a simple yet graceful horse figure outlined with Swarovski crystals —
a perfect representation of the stylish and elegant of Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day.
