2012 summer_Layout 1 7/24/13 12:03 PM Page 1 NEWSLETTER ★★ u ★ m m ★ e ★ ★ S r 2 ★ 0 1 3 ★ ★★ ★ Greetings Everyone; ★ I would like to take this opportunity to officially welcome David Auger to the Region 6 Administrative Committee. Dave was elected to the ‘new’ position of Regional Xcel Committee Chairman. The rapid growth of this program, throughout the country, generated a need for an Xcel Committee within the Women’s Program structure. The National Xcel Committee had their first meeting in June and the end result is a standardized set of rules for the Xcel Program. The National Xcel Rules are available on line. http://usagym.org/pages/women/pages/xcel.html ★ I would also like to congratulate Pat Panichas [Regional Technical Committee Chairman] and Larry Goldsmith [Regional Junior Olympic Committee Chairman] on their recent re-election. Both Pat and Larry have been very busy with the development / presentation of the ‘new’ Compulsory Routines and J.O. Code of Points. The 2013 P & G Gymnastics Championships and USA Gymnastics National Congress will be held in Hartford, CT – August 14 – 18. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate USA Gymnastics 50th Anniversary. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Hartford, CT. CONGRATULATIONS BRESTYAN’S GYMNASTICS 2013 USA Gymnastics J.O. Club of the Year!
