Pirate Lapbook - Homeschool Creations
Pirate Lapbook This pack contains early learning printables to use with your toddler or preschooler when studying about pirates. We used the book On a Pirate Ship by Sarah Courtauld and Benji Davies and absolutely loved it!! I would highly recommend printing the activities from this set onto cardstock so that they are sturdier for younger hands. Printables for this lapbook/folder include: Name tag strip for front of lapbook Story summary sheet for one of your favorite books Verse printable for Matthew 6:21 ~ Where your treasure is... Pirate words Upper and lowercase ABC cards to trace or use for matching Pirate ship size sequencing Count the Gold ~ counting booklet Parrot Colors ~ a coloring book Pirate puppets ~ to re-enact your story {or tell your own} Animal cards from the book On a Pirate Ship Find the Treasure ~ gameboard Clip art for your lapbook Please feel free to print this pdf file for your own personal use. They were created for private and non-profit use. Clip art is from Fotolia.com and Microsoft. Please do not sell or host these files anywhere else. Depending on the book that you use for your pirate adventure, have your child summarize the book and record what they tell you. Add the mini ‘book report’ to the front of your lapbook. What happened in the story? My favorite part of the book was... Where your treasure is there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21 Where your there your is will be also. These animals are from the book On a Pirate Ship by Sarah Courtauld and Benji Davies. The cards are laminated and then put on a jump ring so we can flip through the cards and review the animals in the weeks and months that follow. If you would rather, you can print the cards off onto cardstock and store them in the pocket provided.
