NEZHIN VEGETABLE CANNERY
• Merchant venture Nezhin is a trade division of Nezhin
canning factory, the exclusive distributor of the Nezhin
trademark.
• Nezhin canning factory situated in Nezhin town
(North-East of Ukraine) is well-known producer
of canned fruits and vegetables in Ukraine.
• The plant was founded in 1927. Original ancient recipes
using natural spices are still the basis for production.
The unchangeable traditional products form the basis
for development of new products, taking into account
the preferences of modern consumers.
• Only fresh Ukrainian vegetables are preserved
and 90% of our ingredients are locally grown.

NEZHIN — VERTICALLY
INTEGRATED COMPANY
• Nezhin canning factory offers a full production cycle,
from growing vegetables to packing of finished products:
- Raw material base: agricultural enterprises
"Pereyaslavka", "Kakhovskoe";
- Production: LLC "Nezhinsky cannery";
- Merchant venture: LLC "Trading House Nezhin".
• More than 1,000 hectares of agricultural fields are under
cultivation in the Nezhin region of Chernihivska Oblast
(Pereyaslovka Village).
• Only fresh vegetables are preserved. Salt and natural
spices are added to vegetables in the process of
preparation for canneries.
• About 10,000 people are employed.
• The factory uses modern equipment from Hungary,
Netherlands, Germany and Spain.
• Own laboratory controls all production processes,
starting with the receipt of products and materials and
ending with the delivery of finished products.

NEZHIN ASSORTMENT
• Nezhin canning factory has two main categories
of products:
- Canning in jars with an extended storage period for
2-3 years;
- Pickles in a vacuum package with a storage period
of 30-60 days; pickles without salt water up to one year.
• Nezhin canning factory produces a variety of canned
vegetables, up to 30 different items. Among them are
pickled cucumbers, vegetable cannery and canned
tomatoes.
• For its products, Nezhin canning factory uses brand
quadratic jars with the letter “N” on the bottom and
a “twist-off” lid with a unique design.

PICKLED CUCUMBERS
Pickled cucumbers are the flagship product of Nezhin
canning factory since its foundation.
• There are five types of pickled cucumbers products.
Cucumbers are thoroughly sorted according to sizes:
3-5 centimeters for the famous Nezhin-babe-cucumbers,
5-7 centimeters (for jars of 450 grams) or 7-9 centimeters
(for jars of 920 grams).
• Because the Nezhin region’s fields are rich with silver
ions and other nutrients, cucumbers grown here are
crunchy and juicy.
• Two kinds of marinades are used for preserving:
sour-salted (labeled as canned cucumbers), sour-sweet
(labeled as marinated pickles).
• Marinated mixed vegetables tomatoes & cucumbers
includes both vegetables in one jar.

VEGETABLE PASTES
Various vegetable pastes are perfect appetizers.
All vegetables are blanched beforehand with skin removed.
Vegetable pastes perfectly match with bread.
• Squash paste.
• Eggplant paste "Ukrainian".
• Pumpkin paste.
• Sweet pepper paste "Lutenica".

VEGETABLE DISHES READY TO EAT
• Eggplants greek style with olive oil and vegetables.
• Eggplants in adjika sauce.
• Ragout — delicious dish with small pieces of marrows,
tomatoes, sweet peppers, carrots and onions first fried
and then stewed.
• Saute with marrow and green tomatoes.
• Ratatouille — traditional vegetable dish of Provence
cuisine consisting of peppers, marrows and eggplants
with spices. Italian analogue is Caponata.
• Lecho — traditional dish of sweet peppers and tomatoes.

VEGETABLE GARNISH
• Beans in tomato sauce is a nutrient product rich in
proteins. There are three kinds of preserved bean dishes:
with vegetables, hot and “Favourite”.
• Stewed sauerkraut (sour cabbage) in 450 gram and
920 gram jars.

VEGETABLE SALADS
Vegetable salads are good for healthy eating.
• Marinated celery — dietetic product with healthy
properties; improves metabolism and immunity.
• Classic marinated beets (sliced beetroot). Can be used
as salad and as the main ingredient for a dish.

SAUCES
Adjika Hot is aromatic sauce used mostly for meat dishes.
Sweet peppers used in adjika make it taste delicate and
rich.

CANNED TOMATOES
• Marinated tomatoes 920 grams.
• Canned tomatoes in tomato juice 920 grams.
• Marinated cherry tomatoes.
• Mixed vegetables tomatoes & plums — appetizing
combination.
• Tomato paste (for cooking) consists of no less than
25% of dry substances. A 450-gram jar contains
2.6 kilograms of tomatoes.
