New York Harbor, designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and
dedicated on October 28, 1886.

The statue, a gift to the United States from the people
of France, is of a robed female figure representing
Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom.

16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861
until his assassination in April 1865.

Reared in a poor family on the western frontier, Lincoln was
mostly self-educated, and became a country lawyer, a Whig
Party leader, Illinois state legislator during the 1830s, and a oneterm member of the United States House of Representatives
during the 1840s.

actor.

He began his musical career in the swing era with
Harry James and Tommy Dorsey.


for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in From
Here to Eternity.

Sinatra also was nominated for Best Actor in The Man
with the Golden Arm, and critical acclaim for his

television series, 21 Jump Street, which
premiered in 1987.
 Depp has collaborated with director and
close friend Tim Burton in eight films,
beginning with Edward Scissorhands.

