Then why not give kayaking a try at Penrith Whitewater Stadium, the competition venue for the canoe/kayak slalom events during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Let our talented and enthusiastic instructors build your confidence and broaden your paddling horizons. Penrith Whitewater offers a variety of lessons and courses that vary in length from a one hour lesson to multi-day skills improvement courses. Instruction is offered in two basic forms - group or private. groupinstruction courses You will learn with a group of 3-8 people of similar skills and experience to yourself. This is our most popular form of instruction and is used for all of the following courses. We offer 4 levels of courses from Beginner to Advanced. This is the first in a series of three courses designed to teach you how to paddle whitewater. Flatwater provides a controlled environment to start learning the many skills necessary to paddle whitewater. The course will begin on flatwater and progress to moving water. Have you mastered flatwater & would like to have a go at moving water? This is the second in a series of three courses designed . to teach you how to paddle whitewater. Most of the course will take place on moving water to enable you to learn and consolidate the skills necessary to control your boat on whitewater. The course will begin with a review of skills on flatwater. It will then concentrate on moving water skills in preparation for an introduction to whitewater. This course has been designed for students confident of making faster than average progress. The course begins on flatwater and progresses quickly towards paddling on grade 3 whitewater. Paddling whitewater is much safer and more enjoyable with a reliable roll. Our rolling lessons may cover anything from basic rolling to the more exotic variations. Adventure level moderate. We recommend that you be physically fit group instruction lessons A great way to improve your technique, build your confidence and maximise your paddling pleasure. Penrith Whitewater accepts cash, cheques, money orders and credit cards. A minimum of 50% deposit is required to make a booking. Full payment will be required to confirm a booking at least 10 days prior to the instruction date. Bookings made less than 10 days prior to the instruction date will require full payment. Cancellation by client. If you cancel:. • More than 10 days in advance of the instruction date a 100% refund will apply. • Less than 10 days from the instruction date the 50% deposit is non-refundable. • Less than 48 hours no payment will be refunded Cancellation by Penrith Whitewater . Please note that anyone considered by Penrith Whitewater staff to be intoxicated or adversely affected by drugs, will not be permitted to participate in any flatwater or whitewater activities. No refunds will be made under these circumstances. Risk . Prior to the instruction you will be required to read and sign an ‘Acceptance of Risk Agreement’ acknowledging that flatwater and whitewater activities have inherent risks and dangers beyond those normally encountered in everyday life.
