Happy Fall!
Camp Wool —
A destination for anyone who loves wool!
Hello Fall (& Winter—YIKES!)
Cool weather has arrived and its
time to get out those projects or
start a new one! We have many
new patterns in and lots of beautiful
wool! Also take note that we are
growing our selection of crossstitch patterns and linen! As I write
this I am getting ready to go on our
annual vacation… looking forward
to spending time with Mark and our
two puppies … not so little anymore! Angus has already packed
his socks! Note: The store will be
light this quarter. Our quilt class
is still full for the fall/winter but
please give me a call if you would
like to go on a wait list to join.

this fall/winter were hard to come ceremony in downtown Kenneby thus our schedule is a little

New Website Available Soon! I
was hoping to have this ready by
the printing of this newsletter but
its not quite there! Look for our
new and improved site to be ready
in November! This leads me to
mention that I still will not have
ordering functionality from the
site although this site will allow
me to do this in the future. I
know many of you live far away
and that makes it hard to shop.
Know that I am very sensitive to
wanting to support you and you
are welcome to call us here at the
store and we are happy to ship!
Going to an on-line shopping format is a big step that frankly I am
reticent to take. My original vision was to have a great place to
visit with the best service possible. The new site will have lots
more photos of the patterns we
carry and other things like new
items etc. I will keep you updated
if we make a change.
We thank you so much for your
support over this year and hope you
can visit us this fall or over the holiday season! Don’t forget to drop a
hit to your friends and relatives that
we have gift cards! All they have
to do is call and mail out!! Take
care. LeAnn & Mark Hodgson —

-Day Workshop—Feb 22, 23
& 24—2013
“How to Hook a Primitive Rug
using Extra Wide Strips”
Teacher: Tom McNerney
(Minimum 4 up to 10 people)
Tom has been hooking for 30+ years
and has taught many students over
the years. Newly retired, Tom is
once again able to teach and share
his wealth of knowledge on how to
hook using extra wide cuts. Tom will
show you many techniques relative
to using wide cuts to make a fun and
interesting primitive rug. He will
also share his knowledge of dying,
drawing patterns and many other
tips on color etc. that you can apply
to your project. You will be able to
bring your own project to class and/
or we have patterns here at the store
including many of Tom’s patterns
that work well for extra wide
(Size 9+) cuts. Please call the store for
more details or questions regarding the
project you would like to bring.
What you need for this class: You will
need to bring all the usual items you use
for hooking (i.e. your frame, scissors
etc). Note: A rug hook that will allow
you to hook wide cuts is recommended.
We will have hooks on hand for you to
try and/or purchase if you choose. Any
hook with a large/wide shank is a good
candidate for extra wide cuts.
Cost of class: 3 days of instruction is
$115.00. Snacks will be available during
class. Lunch is optional. You may bring
your own and/or we will have a menu
from a great local shop that we can order from. Lodging is on your own and
it is still busy season so you will want to
make reservations as soon as possible.
We have negotiated a special 10% off
rates at the Betty Doon Motel when you
mention Camp Wool. Costs vary based
on room features. The Betty Doon is
located in Ogunquit Maine about 10
miles from the store. Please call me at
the store and I can get you more information. Note: A credit card number or
check for payment of this class is required to reserve a spot. Your card or
check will not cashed until the minimum attendee level is met. Refunds
will only be granted if we can find a
substitute attendee once the minimum
attendee level has been reached.
Thank you for your understanding.
