ThiswilldisplaytheAutoUpdaterwindow,whichupdatesFastAttachtothelatestversioneachtimethe softwarelaunchesbeforedisplayingtheFastAttachLoginwindow. Enterthefollowingcredentialsinordertologin: 1. FacilityID(firsttimeusers)orselectthe PracticeName(availablefromprevious login). 2. UserName Note:CheckRememberMetoallow FastAttachtorememberyourusername. 3. Minimumofeight(8)character alphanumericPassword 4. ClickLogin. Page | 4 ForgotPassword 1. FromtheFastAttachLogin window,clickForgotPassword. 2. IntheForgotPasswordscreen, entertheNEAFacilityNumber (FacilityID)andusername,then clicktheNextbutton. 3. Entertheanswertothesecurity question,thenclicktheNext button. 4. Selectthemethodbywhichyou wishtoreceiveyourtemporary password,thenclicktheReset Passwordbutton.Thesystemwill thensendatemporarypasswordto theemailaddressorfaxnumber displayed. Page | 5 UpdatePassword TheUpdatePasswordwindowdisplayswhenyourpasswordhasexpired,orifyouloginwithatemporary password.Thesestepswillguideyouthroughtheprocessofcreatinganewpassword. 1. EnteryourdesiredpasswordintotheNew Passwordfield.Thepasswordmustbebetween 8and15charactersandcontainatleastone letterANDonenumber.Ifyourpasswordhas expired,thenewpasswordcannotbethesame astheoldone. 2. Re-enteryournewpasswordintheConfirm Passwordfield(Passwordfieldsmustmatchin ordertocontinue.) 3. SelectaSecurityQuestionandenterananswer intheAnswerfield. 4. AnemailaddressisrequiredintheUserEmail field.Ifoneisalreadypresent,thenitcanbe editedonthisscreen. Note:UserInformationthebottomofthisscreenisonlyeditableforPrimaryUser. 5. Onceyouhavecompletedalloftherequiredinformation,clicktheContinuebutton.Youwillbetaken totheFastAttachMainscreen. TheDocRequesttaboftheFastAttachMainscreenallowsuserstocompletedocumentrequestsfrom participatingpayorswiththeabilitytoview,manage,andrespondtorequests. ManageMenu TheManagemenuoptionprovideseasyaccesstoupdatingcontactinformationforyourFastAttachaccount, aswellasvisibilitytoyourFastAttachinstallationconfiguration. Page | 9 ProviderInformation TheProviderInformationscreeniswhere youcanmanagetheproviderinformation thatisrequiredtocreateattachments.To accessthisscreen,clicktheProvider ScreenbuttonfromtheFastAttachMain. ThiswillbringyoutotheProvider Informationscreen. ToaddanewProvider 1. ClicktheNewbutton. 2. Enterthedoctor’sinformationand specialty.ClicktheSavebutton. 3. Thedoctorshouldnowbelistedin theCurrentProvidersgrid. ToeditaProvider 1. SelectaproviderbyclickinganywhereonarowintheCurrentProvidersgrid. 2. Double-click,orclicktheEditbutton;thedoctor’sinformationisnoweditable. 3. Makethedesiredchangestotheselectedprovider’sinformation,thenclicktheSavebutton. TodeleteaProvider 1. Selecttheproviderthatyouwanttodeletebyclickinganywhereontherow.ClicktheDeletebutton.A messageboxwillappearaskingifyouwanttopermanentlydeletetheprovider. 2. ConfirmthedeletionbyclickingtheYesbutton.ThedoctorshouldnowberemovedfromtheCurrent Providerslist. Page | 10 PatientSearch ThePatientSearchscreenallowsyouto searchforpatientsthatyouhavecreated attachmentsfor.Youcanalsoviewthe attachmenthistoryforapatient,and accesssubmittedattachmentstoreview. ToaccessthePatientSearchscreen,click theNew/SearchbuttonontheMain screen. SearchforaPatient 1. Enterthepatient’sfirstorlast name.Partialsearchesare supported. 2. ClicktheSearchbutton. 3. AllpatientsthatmatchyoursearchcriteriawillbedisplayedintheSearchResultssection.Ifyour searchreturnsalargenumberofresults(typicallymorethan25),theresultsmaybedisplayedacross multiplepages.UsetheNextandPreviousbuttonstonavigatebetweenpages. 4. Searchresultsaresortablebyanydisplayedcolumn. ViewaPatient’sAttachmentHistory 1. FromtheSearchResultssection,selectthepatient’sname. 2. ClicktheHistorybutton. 3. Alistofallattachmentssubmittedforthatpatientwillbedisplayed,sortedbyNEA#. 4. Toviewanattachment,selecttheNEA#ofthedesiredattachment. 5. ClicktheViewbutton.ThiswilllaunchInternetExplorerwiththeAttachmentViewpageof ProviderViewdisplayingtheattachment. Page | 11 PatientInformation ThePatientInformationscreenallows youtoenternewpatientrecords,oredit existingpatientinformationinorderto createattachments. ToaddanewPatient 1. FromthePatientSearchscreen, clicktheNewPatientbutton. 2. OnthePatientInformation screen,enterthepatient’sfirst andlastname,dateofbirthand selecttheirdefaultprovider. 3. IntheInsurance1Tab,selectthe primaryinsuranceforthepatientandselecttherelationshiptype.Iftherelationshiptypeisanything otherthan“Self”,youwillneedtoentertheinsured’sfirstandlastname.Allfieldsarerequired.You canaddanyadditionalinsurancebyclickingtheAddNewInsurancetab. 4. Tosave,clicktheNextbutton.Aconfirmationnotificationwillbedisplayed;click“Yes”tosavethe patientinformationinFastAttach.YouwillbetakentotheDataEntryscreenwhereyoucancreatean attachment.However,ifyoudonotwishtocreateanattachmentatthistime,youcanclicktheCancel buttontoreturntotheFastAttachMainscreen. ToeditPatient 1. InthePatientSearchscreen,searchforyourdesiredpatient. 2. Double-clickthedesiredpatient,orselectthepatientandclickEdit. 3. FromthePatientInformationscreen,makeanydesiredchanges.Whenfinished,clicktheNextbutton tosaveyourchanges.Aconfirmationmessagewilldisplay;click“Yes”tocontinue. FastLookPayorRequirementsallowsyouaccesstoPayorCustomerServiceinformation,including addressInformation,payorID’s,andthepayor’sattachmentreturnpolicy,inadditiontotheability tolookupprocedurecode-basedattachmentrequirements. Narrative The Narrative field allows up to 2000 characters for additional supporting information regarding the attachment. RespondingtoanEOB 1. ClickYesto“Didthepayorrequestthisattachment?” 2. EnterthetrackingnumbersuppliedontheEOByoureceivedfromthepayor. Page | 14 EditinganExistingAttachment TheFastAttachMainscreenlistspendingattachments.Thedisplayedlistissortablebystatus,patient,or payor. 1. HighlightandclickEdit,ordouble-clickanattachmenttodisplayitintheDataEntryscreen. 2. Editapplicableinformation. 3. ClickSaveorHoldwhenfinished.Discardchanges,clickCancel. DeleteExistingAttachment 1. SelecttheattachmentonFastAttachMainscreen. 2. ClickDelete,thenconfirmsubmissiondeletion. AddingImages&Documentation Imagesanddocumentationinsupportofclaimattachmentmaybeaddedusingavarietyofacquisition methods,includingScreenCapture,Twain/Scanner,FileImport,ArchiveandFastKapture. ScreenCapture 1. Click the Screen Capture button. The Data Entry screen will minimize, and the Screen Capture windowwillappearintheupperright-handcornerofyourscreen. 2. Opentheimageordocumentthatyouwouldliketoadd.Makesurethatyouareabletoclearlysee theimageand/oreasilyreadanyincludedtext. 3. Click the Draw Rectangle button in the Screen Capture window.Yourcursorwillturnintoaredcrosshair(“+”)that youwillusetoselecttheareaofthescreenthatyouwould liketocapture. 4. Usethecrosshairtoselectthedesiredportionofthescreenbyleft-clickingthemouseanddragging fromonecornerofthedesiredareatothecornerdiagonallyacrossfromthestartingpoint.Asyou dragthecrosshair,aboxwillformaroundtheselectedareathatwillbecaptured..Releasetheleftclickonceyouhavecapturedthedesiredarea.. 5. TheselectedareawilldisplayintheEditImagescreen. Page | 15 Twain/Scanner 1. Verifythatthescannerisconnectedtoyourworkstationandthatthescannerispoweredon. 2. ClicktheTwain/Scannerbuttontolaunchthescannersoftware. 3. The steps to scan your image will vary depending on what you are scanning and what type of scanneryouareusing.However,herearesomegeneralrulesforscanning: i. Whenscanninganx-ray,youwillwanttousethepositivefilmsettingandhavethedpiset ascloseto100aspossible. ii. Whenscanningadocument,youwillwanttousethereflectivesettingandhavethedpiset ascloseto100aspossible. 4. Onceyoursettingsareselected,selectthepreviewoption. 5. ThescannedimagewillthendisplayintheEditImagescreen. FileImport 1. ClicktheFileImportbutton.Aboxwill appearforyoutobrowseforafile. 2. Locate the file that you would like to import. 3. Select the file that you would like to import,thenclicktheOpenbutton. 4. TheselectedfilewilldisplayintheEdit Imagescreen. Archive Archiveallowsyoure-addimagessentinpreviousattachmentsfortheselectedpatient. 1. Click Archive to display the Archive screen,allimagesanddocumentation previously submitted for the current patientwilldisplay. 2. Clickcheckboxofoneormorearchiveddocumentstoaddtotheattachment.TheArchivelistis sortablebydescription,note,andarchivedate/time,withtheoptiontoviewtheselectedarchived documentation. Page | 16 3. Select Next to add archived documents to the attachment. Note: Documentation is not editable whenaddedfromArchive. FastKapture FastKaptureisamobileappthatallowsuserstoutilizeacamera-enabledmobiledevicetosecurelycapture andtransmitimagestotheFastAttachdesktopsoftwareforuseinattachments. 1. Click the FastKapture button, to load theFastKapturescreen. 2. To view a listed image, select it and click View. To delete a listed image, selectitandclickDelete. 3. Toaddalistedimagetoyourattachment,selectthecheckboxbesidethedesireddocumentand clickNext. 4. TheselectedimagewilldisplayintheEditImagescreen. EditImageScreen After acquiring an image or file, the Edit Image screen is displayed. The Edit Image screen allows users to label,aswellasadjusttheappearanceofimages. Enterthedatethatthex-raywastakenintheDateTakenfield. 3. Click“SelectanImageType”toselectanimagetype. 4. The left side is the patient’s right side – The left side of the x-ray is the right side of the patient’sface. b. Theleftsideisthepatient’sleftside–Theleftsideofthex-rayistheleftsideofthepatient’s face. 2. Enterthedatethatthex-raywastakenintheDateTakenfield. 3. Click“SelectanImageType”toselectanimagetype. 4. YoumayaddanoptionalnoteregardingtheimageintheImageNotefield.Thisnotewillappearinthe Archivescreenwiththeimage,andisonlyviewablebyFastAttachusers.Thenoteisnotvisibletothe payor. NonXRay UsetheNonXRaytabforanyimageorfilethatisnotanx-ray. 1. Click“SelectanImageType”toselectanimagetype. 2. Entertheoptionaldatethattheimageorfilewastakeninthe DateTakenfield. 3. YoumayaddanoptionalnoteregardingtheimageintheImage Notefield.ThisnotewillappearintheArchivescreenwiththe image,andisonlyviewablebyFastAttachusers.Thenoteisnot visibletothepayor. ByTooth UsetheByToothtabtolabelx-raysbasedontoothnumber. 1. Using the yellow triangle and red square graphics as guides, selectthetoothnumberthateachshapeistheclosesttofrom the Tooth Nearest Triangle and Tooth Nearest Square dropdowns. 2. Enterthedatethatthex-raywastakenintheDateTakenfield. Page | 19 3. Click“SelectanImageType”toselectanimagetype. 4. YoumayaddanoptionalnoteregardingtheimageintheImageNotefield.Thisnotewillappearinthe Archivescreenwiththeimage,andisonlyviewablebyFastAttachusers.Thenoteisnotvisibletothe payor. Completing&SendingAttachments Aftercompletingworkonanattachment,itmaybeplacedOnHoldforlaterrevisionandreview,orsavedas ReadytoSend,whichwillallowittobesentuponselectionoftheSendbutton. OnHoldStatus Attachmentsthathaveastatusof“On Hold”willnotbesenttothepayorwhen theSendbuttonisclicked. Toplaceanattachmentonhold,clickthe HoldbuttonontheDataEntryscreen. Thiscanbeusedtopreventan attachmentfrombeingsent,while allowingyoutoworkonother attachments. ReadytoSendStatus Attachmentsthathaveastatusof“ReadytoSend”willbesenttothepayorwhentheSendbuttonisclicked. ToplaceanattachmentinReadytoSendstatus,clicktheSavebuttonontheDataEntryscreen. Uponsuccessfultransmission,theViewReportwindowwilldisplay,withanAttachmentSubmissionReportfor eachattachmentsent.ClickNexttovieweachreport.ClickPrinttoprintdisplayedreport(s). Page | 20 ChanginganAttachment’sStatus Anattachment’sstatusissetfromtheDataEntry screen.Onceset,itmaybechangedbyeditingit 1. FromtheFastAttachMainscreen,double-clickorhighlighttheattachmentandclickEdit. 2. FromDataEntry,verifythatalloftherequiredinformationispresentandcorrect.ClicktheSave button to move the attachment from On Hold to Ready to Send, or click Hold to leave the attachmentOnHold. 3. TheFastAttachMainscreenwilldisplaywiththeattachment’sselectedstatus. ViewReports NEATrackingNumber(NEA#)–A NEATrackingNumberisassigned toeachattachmentandisusedby thepayortolocatethe attachmentinNEA’ssecure repository.Placethisnumberin theRemarkssectionoftheclaim. PreviousButton/NextButton–If yousentmultipleattachments, thesebuttonsareusedtopage throughthedifferentAttachment FileReceipts. Print / Print All – You may print Attachment File Receipt that is currently displayed by clicking the Print button. If you sent multiple attachments, you can print all of the receiptsatoncebyclickingthePrintAllbutton. PayorInformation FromtheFastAttachMainscreen,clickthePayorInformationbuttontodisplayalistofpayorsthataccept electronicattachmentsfromMEA|NEA.Clicktoaselectapayor,thenclickPayorInformationand Requirementstodisplaytheselectedpayor’slistofprocedurecoderequirementsinawebbrowser.Toprint thepayorlist,simplyclickPrintPayorList.
