Campers start the day with horseshoes, hula hoop contests, relay races, minuteto-win challenges, and soccer shootouts, or they can sit back and relax while watching a movie on the Big Screen. Each day at 8:45 am, all campers come together in the stadium stands to hear announcements and participate in a game show. It is a fun, exciting way to start the day. Woodward is pleased to offer a payment plan option for summer camps. During the registration process, families will have the option to pay all fees in full or in equal monthly payments by credit card charged on scheduled payment dates. For the payment schedule, visit www.woodward.edu/camps. Registration must be paid in full before your child starts camp. Because of the need to adequately plan for staff and supplies for summer camps, no refunds for changes or cancellations will be given after May 27, 2016. Changes will be allowed after May 27th, 2016 for an additional $25 fee. Woodward Academy Summer Program Policies A completed and paid registration for summer programs signifies that the parent and child understand and agree to abide by the following rules. Because Woodward Academy strives to make the campus a safe and secure place for your child: • Woodward Academy requires that EVERY student, regardless of age, be supervised when on campus in the summer. • Students must be picked up promptly at the scheduled time. • Refunds for changes or cancellations in the 2016 program will not be given after May 27, 2016. Changes will be allowed after May 27th, 2016 for an additional $25 fee. 14 WOODWARD AC ADEMY • Fighting, making threats, bullying, or other disruptive behavior that is distracting to participants in summer camps or classes can result in suspension or dismissal without a refund. • The use or possession of alcohol, drugs, knives, firearms, or objects considered to be a weapon of any sort on campus is a violation of school policy and will result in immediate dismissal without a refund. • Tobacco use is strictly prohibited on campus grounds and can lead to a student’s suspension and dismissal without a refund. • The dress code is informal, but students must use good judgment in their choice of clothing and must dress in an appropriate manner. Footwear must be worn at all times, and while shorts, jeans, and T-shirts may be worn, no clothing may display or suggest sex, alcohol, drugs, or any offensive logos. • Woodward Academy operates under an honor code, which specifically forbids stealing, cheating, or lying. Students who are in violation of this policy are subject to suspension or dismissal without a refund, depending on the specifics of the situation. • Students must show respect and cooperation in their relationships with their teachers, camp staff, and campmates. Students behaving in a manner contrary to this policy can be suspended or dismissed without a refund.
