SILENCER FOR DRY EXHAUSTS
This is an excellent product to greatly reduce
the exhaust noise on inboard engines
operating with dry exhaust systems.
The silencer has a side 11⁄2 " BSP(M) entry
and a 11⁄2 " BSP(M) exit on the end and can
be connected using typical BSP iron fittings
and our range of stainless steel braided
flexible exhaust hoses (N-01012 to N-01084).

ENGINE FITTINGS
FLEXIBLE SHAFT COUPLINGS
Contoured flexible disc moulded in tough Polyester Elastomer. Gives clearance for bolt heads,
and is able to flex freely to take up any temporary misalignment of the engine and shaft, due to
flexing of the boat structure or the engine moving on its rubber vibration isolation mountings.

ELEMENT SELECTION
Consider the following criteria when making a decision on the element design.
LOOP TYPE General purpose robust element which can be mounted either way round on the flywheel
and can rotate in either direction. Linear stiffness up to 3 degrees of deflection.
HAMMER HEAD More torsionally flexible than the loop type, usually has smaller diameter element than
our other designs but still retains the ability to be mounted either way round on the flywheel and rotate
in either direction. Three stage stiffness with up to 9 degrees of deflection.

HIGH DEFLECTION (H/D) Softer than our other designs with a maximum deflection up to 30 degrees,
slightly larger diameter element than other designs and can only be fitted to rotate in the standard
direction of rotation (anti-clockwise looking at the flywheel). With the element facing the gearbox.

ALDE COMFORT 2928 BALANCED FLUE BOILER
The balanced flue boiler has 12V ignition, automatic re-ignition along with 12V circulation pump and room thermostat.
Heating is provided by hot water circulating from the boiler through “low water content” radiators with domestic hot water
heated via a secondary heat exchanger mounted at the back of the boiler. The comfort boiler is a room sealed appliance
with a balanced flue to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

BUBBLE GAS LEAK DETECTOR
This leak detector is designed to be connected close to the outlet side
of the gas regulator. It then provides an instant visible check for
leaks. Bubbles in the sightings chamber indicate a leak
downstream of the bubble tester. Supplied complete with fluid.
It may be used in boats, caravans and other applications.
The Boat Safety Scheme states that “an approved bubble tester is
highly recommended”. The bubble tester is approved under the BSS.

ALDE HE3010 COMPACT COMBI BOILER
The Alde HE3010 balanced flue combination boiler is powered by LPG and a
low amp 12V supply. All connections are located on one side making
installation and servicing easier.
Supplied in a kit with all necessary components, this popular boat model has a
roof flue terminal, but a side mount terminal is also an option.
Cabin heating is distributed by polybutylene barrier piping (see pages 46/47),
via aluminium radiators (see below) or mild steel domestic radiators (available
from plumbing merchants).
The LPG boiler with built-in stored water provides around 12 litres of hot water
(40ºC) for 30 minutes. 230V AC from a generator or shore supply can power
two immersion heaters giving a combination of 1, 2, or 3kW.
For larger boats needing a greater hot water capacity fit a stainless steel
calorifier. See Section 9 for calorifiers and all plumbing fittings. Copper
calorifiers or pipework are not approved due to aluminium heat exchanger.

PLASTIC HEADER TANK
The tank has a 4 litre capacity and a flange either side to mount on a bulkhead. It is ideal
for heating systems such as Eberspacher, Webasto, Mikuni, Hurricane and our range of
fires when fitted correctly with a back boiler. The tank allows for expansion, easy level
checks and top ups of the heating system. The 1⁄2 " BSP female thread in the base will
allow a number of different Speed-fit, hose connectors or compression fitting to be fitted
to suit different plumbing applications.

This hot air unit can be used for both hot cabin
heating and windscreen demisting. Designed on the
same principle as a vehicle heater but larger and to
marine material specification for connection to your
closed circuit fresh water cooling system.
As heat loss in pipes from engine is negligible the
unit is best sited near to the cabin. Universal
mounting normally below engine header tank.
The radiator, fan and electric motor are housed in
rectangular S/S body. Remote external air supply
can by used by S/S adaptor which fits rear of heater
to take 2 x 89mm ID ducting, as illustrated right.

SmartSleeve™ pipe insert (P-51360)
works with the internal castellations of
the new Hep2O fitting.
Just insert, push, twist and feel for the
rumble to know the pipe is fully inserted,
making a 100% secure connection.

HepKey™- How it Works
The innovative pipe release key
that only demounts when you
want it to.
Colour-coded to the pipe size, the
HepKey™ triggers the grab-ring
within the fitting to release the
pipe. As the fitting is tamper-proof,
the pipe will only release when
you want it to. So it’s fast, simple
and eliminates the risk of
accidental and potentially
expensive demounting.

Grab-ring
Strong, high quality 316 stainless steel
re-engineered grab-ring. Able to grip
plastic and copper pipe, the carefully
angled teeth have been aligned for easy
fitting and maximum grip.
Polybutylene Pipe
Cuts, bends and comes off the coil straight,
in exactly the same way it always has.
O-ring
Offers a reliable seal in both
hot and cold water systems.
SmartSleeve™Pipe Insert
The profiled end allows joint recognition, reduces
the force required to make a secure connection,
and stays in the pipe when demounted.
HepKey Plus™
Available in each of the four fitting sizes,
HepKey Plus™ simply clips onto the fitting,
depresses the inner collar which releases
the integral grab-ring and allows the pipe
to be removed.

needs to be pushed against the fitting to release the pipe.

Not everything has changed. Hep2O pipe remains the same, all except for the colour. It’s still
exceptionally flexible and still comes off the coil in straight useable lengths that can easily be
cabled into position. The only thing that’s changed is the colour. Now in white to match the
new fittings, exposed areas of pipe work now look clean and more attractive.

Located behind the release sleeve, it is
captive within the fitting so can’t fall out
and get lost. Manufactured from high
quality 316 stainless steel that can be used
