DAY 1 ARRIVE ROME (2 NIGHTS)
Welcome to Rome! Relax and unwind after
check-in and meet with your Travel Director this
afternoon. Tonight, maybe take a stroll through
the city and soak up the vibrant atmosphere!

DAY 2 ROME SIGHTSEEING AND
FREE TIME
Your expert Local Guide takes you on a
sightseeing tour of the city. Visit St. Peter’s
Basilica, one of the holiest Christian sites in the
world. Cross the River Tiber and admire views
of the iconic Colosseum and the Forum, centre
of daily life in ancient Rome. Spend free time
discovering the city on your own. Consider
an optional excursion to the Catacombs, or
maybe visit the splendid Tivoli Gardens on the
outskirts of Rome. (BB)
DAY 3 ROME – VENICE (2 NIGHTS)
Follow the upper Tiber valley past the medieval
hilltop towns of Orvieto and Orte in Umbria
to Tuscany, a unique and fertile landscape
with olive groves and vineyards stretching into
the distance. Cross the dramatic Apennine
Mountains and arrive later in the magical city

DAY 4 VENICE SIGHTSEEING AND
FREE TIME
Savour the unique sights of Venice as you
cruise by private launch to its heart, St. Mark’s
Square. Marvel at the Bridge of Sighs, the
magnificent Doge’s Palace and the Byzantine
basilica adorned with colourful glass mosaics.
Watch a demonstration of the ancient craft of
glass-blowing, which originated here in Venice.
Explore this fascinating city in your free time or
perhaps take a trip across the lagoon to Burano

DAY 6 FLORENCE SIGHTSEEING AND

DAY 7 FLORENCE – ASSISI – ROME
Through the rolling countryside of Tuscany
into Umbria, you arrive at the mystical town of
Assisi on the slopes of Mount Subasio. See the
sights of St. Francis' birthplace, including the
medieval ramparts and the Basilica of St Mary
of the Angels, built on the site where St. Francis
died. Later, on your final night in Rome, you
might like to celebrate the end of your holiday
