Cages
The cage is welded of quality steel profiles. The walls
are covered with aluminum sheeting or other special
finishes. Based on your needs and application, doors
can be arranged with A, B, C, or a combination of
those arrangements. Steel diamond plate floors are a
standard item.
Drives
The drive unit consists of one, two or three helical
bevel gearboxes with motors located inside or above
the cage. The motors are equipped with electromagnetic disc brakes that can be released by hand.

Mast Sections
High quality is the standard in
everything we do.
Mast sections are available with wall sections of 4.0,
6.3 or 8.0 mm depending on the required lifting
height. They are available in the I, H, and S profiles
based on space and capacity needs.
Emergency Lowering
Additional elevator safety features available
include regenerative lowering, fireman’s service,
directional and final limit switches, communication
devices, and safety hooks. These may be required
for code compliance base on your equipment
and location.
Standard on each unit is a manual lowering
device controlled by regenerative power.
This ensures a safe and controlled descent in
an emergency situation. Designed to be user
friendly, the lowering device is activated from
inside the cab. No undo wear or stress is
placed on the braking system allowing longer
life and dependable performance.

Safety Device
The centrifugal safety device is one of the basic
elements of the rack and pinion elevator. The
purpose of the safety device is to stop the
elevator safely if the nominal speed is exceeded.
The safety device engages with the rack in the
event of a drive unit or brake failure.
The safety device is adjusted to the required
value by the manufacturer and tested. Every
3.5 years the safety device must be thoroughly
inspected in a test facility and recalibrated if
needed.
Our safety device exchange program is integral
to the continued safety and operation of the
elevator. This program is both reliable and
affordable.
Your safety is our priority.

your elevator up to current safety standards and
codes as well as improve the overall operation
of your machine. We offer modernization for all
brands of existing rack and pinion elevators.
Our team will provide you a detailed report of
the condition of your existing equipment,
identifying priority items requiring attention,
and a written recommendation with cost analysis.
Modernizations allows:
•
•
•
•
•
Pre-planning for budgets
Tailored plans to meet your needs
Reduced downtime
Cost-effective approach
Extended life of your machine
Extend the life of your elevator
through modernization.
Controller and Signal Fixture
Upgrades
Through our suppliers, we have developed a
non-proprietary controller that is convertible
to your existing equipment. Designed with the
end user in mind, our controllers offer simple
diagnostic tools to ensure a safe and reliable
system. Signal fixtures are available for both cars
and landings. Many existing elevators can be
upgraded to take advantage of softer starts and
stops as well as extend the life of key parts.
