AachenMünchener Versicherung, Aachen Dobler Metallbau | Curtain Walls and Aluminium Windows AachenMünchener Versicherung, Aachen “Stepping stones in the city…..” That is how the architects from kadawittfeldarchitektur describe the newly built headquarters of the German insurance company AachenMünchener Versicherung in the centre of Aachen. Integrated in the historic city centre, the building creates a new public space which is connected to the „boulevard“, a building level, through the clearly structured façades despite their transparency. More than 8,500 m² aluminium-glass façade from Dobler Metallbau were installed in 3 buildings, which are home to office and work space for the building owner‘s 1,000 employees. The office façades consist of a black anodised aluminium element structure in structural glazing design with element widths ranging from 1.35 m to 2.70 m. Vertical, storey-high glass sections alternate with room-high window elements and closed, golden anodised aluminium panels.
