Gilligan’s Island Social:
2014 Officers:
The Gilligan’s Island theme party at Ray and Diane Wollschleger’s
house was a great success and helped to chase away the memory of
the long, cold winter. A special thanks goes out to Kevin and Kosby
Carrico for lending the boxes and bags of party decorations that turned
the party into a remote desert island. The evening was highlighted with
teams competing in a Gilligan’s Island trivia contest and the best
costume contest, which was won by Bob Gerspacher (Thurston Howell,
III) and Jen Stiffler (Mary Ann). Thanks to all who attended and brought
all of the tropical food. A special note for Benny Shoults’ platter of carved
food and Kathleen Miller’s pineapple/strawberry dish: wow!
Our next social event will be at Steve and Pam Miller’s in June.
Information to follow.

Annual NNA Art Exhibit:
We are looking for artists to participate in the City Art Center exhibit
scheduled for November and December 2013 and January 2014. If you
are interested, please let Benny Shoults know. NNA membership is NOT
required for participation, however, we would like to showcase
artists from our neighborhood.
Calling All Volunteers:
Main Street Delaware is planning a fall festival for September 27, 2014.
The festival will feature antique-type displays. Main Street is looking for
volunteers to play music during the festival. The festival will have food
trucks and music and will be located on Sandusky Street between
Central Avenue and William Street.
Stacey Ullom reported on the Division III National Track and Field
championships that will be held from May 22-24, 2014. There is a need
for volunteers for the event. Members should have received an email
regarding this opportunity. Volunteers will get into the event at no
charge.
2014 Christmas Tour of Homes:
Do you like decorating your abode for Christmas? Wouldn’t it be fun to
share your hard work with the public? Kris Kolb is looking for
additional houses for the upcoming Christmas Tour of Homes on
December 6, 2014. If you are interested or know anyone who may be
interested, please let Kris know at hyland_kolb@columbus.rr.com.
Tune Into HGTV in September:
The HGTV show “House Hunters” filmed a portion of an episode to be
aired in September in downtown Delaware.

The Arts Castle is having an “Arts in the Park” 25th anniversary
celebration to be held on June 8, 2014 at Monnett Garden from 5:00

Are You Concerned About Renewable Energy?:
There is a bill being sent to the Senate to freeze the renewable energy

Senator Kris Jordan about their positions on this issue. For further
information, please contact Gordon at aubrecht.1@osu.edu.
