Girl Scout Cookies will celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2017!
Be part of this proud tradition and earn proceeds to fund your Girl Scout adventures.
Did you know girls can also earn proceeds early in the troop year by selling yummy candy and nuts?
It’s true! Be sure to explore the Fall Product Program too!
These programs create important opportunities to learn about goal-setting, decision-making, money management,
people skills and business ethics. These aren’t just cookie sales skills, they’re life skills!
Fall Product Program
• Delicious premium chocolates,
nuts, and snacks, and popular
magazines.
• Recognition program with fun,
girl-selected items including
personalized patch.
• Troops earn 15–17% of total product sales.
• Sweet Sellers Club girls earn an exclusive patch and
bracelet, as well as Sweet Treat Credits to use toward
Ultimate Guide programs, camp, Destinations and
in-store purchases.
• Great online tools for girls to use to reach their
customers and their goals.
Girl Scout Cookie Program
• Exciting and new for this season: a special 100th
anniversary s’mores cookie! Plus, all your
customers’ favorites.
• Recognition program with fun, girl-selected items and
special events for top sellers, including the 500 Club!
• Troops earn a minimum of 90 cents for each package
of cookies sold.
• Girls earn Cookie Credits to use toward Ultimate Guide
e
programs, camp, Destinations and in-store purchases.
• Be a part of the biggest girl-led business in the world!
For up-to-date information on the Fall
Product and Girl Scout Cookie Programs,
ining
including easily downloadable materials, training
and event information, program details, and
everything else you need to know to participate,
visit hergirlscouts.org
and click on Cookies.
Note that in order for girls to participate in other money-earning activities
throughout the year, they must participate in both the Fall Product and
Girl Scout Cookie Programs. All participants in money-earning activities
must be registered Girl Scouts prior to participation.

At Girl Scouts of Eastern
Massachusetts, our mission
is to build girls of courage,
confidence, and character, who
make the world a better place.
And this year’s Ultimate Guide
is full of programs that will help
transform our girls into the leaders of tomorrow.
Our outdoor programs, from archery to zip-lining, will help girls
build the courage it takes to expand the boundaries of where they
will go and what they can achieve.
Our annual STEM conference, along with other programs offering
hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering and
math, will help girls build the confidence it takes to pursue any
career they choose.
And our new series of civic education and citizenship programs at
the Edward M. Kennedy Institute will help girls build the character
it takes to become good citizens and great leaders.
But these are just a few of the nearly 200 programs listed in the
Ultimate Guide that will strengthen girls’ bodies, minds and
spirits today, so they can change the world tomorrow. And our
comprehensive volunteer enrichment programs support the
adults who will guide girls throughout their journeys.
This Ultimate Guide is just the beginning of your exciting
membership year ahead in Girl Scouting. Be sure to visit us at
hergirlscouts.org for up-to-date information about our programs,
procedures and member benefits. If you still have questions or
need assistance, you can contact us at customercare@gsema.org

Troop Travel and Extended Trips
Girls love to travel and have opportunities to fund their own
adventures and make their own plans. Girl Scouts is the
perfect way to make it happen, however, there is a lot of safety
information adults need to know. An extended trip is defined
as any domestic trip three nights or longer (unless it is a
three-night trip with one night being a federal holiday) or any
international trip. These trips require prior council approval.
For assistance with planning and obtaining council approval,
please contact our safety team at safety@gsema.org, or our
customer care team at customercare@gsema.org.
Learn archery range set-up, safety, rules, procedures, commands
and how to teach the basic form. There is a final one-hour written
exam. Passing the exam (75% or better) and the practical skills
component will certify you as a USA Level 1 Instructor. Program

INSPIRING GIRLS TO BECOME
Today, more girls and women are using technology than
ever before. But few are playing a role in creating this
technology or choosing to study science, technology,
engineering, and math (STEM) subjects.
Fewer than 20% of Computer Science and Engineering
degrees are earned by women.
Intel is working to close this gap through a collection of
proven programs that feature hands-on experiences,
engagement with mentors and role models, and
projects that apply technology to real-world challenges.
