How To Get There:
American River Parkway (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail)
The Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail is 32-miles long and offers the best trail access in the Sacramento area. This world-renowned
trail winds from Folsom to old Sarcamento, paralleling the American River and stopping at many key places along the way. Activities
along the Trail System include hiking, horseback riding, cycling, inline skating, jogging and strolling.

The trail can be accessed from most parks in the American River Parkway including: Discovery Park, Howe Avenue River Access,
Paradise Beach, Riverbend Park, Rossmoor Bar, Sacramento Bar, Sailor Bar, Sarah Court, Upper/Lower Sunrise River Access,
Waterton Access, Watt Avenue Access and William B. Pond.

From U.S. Highway 50, take the Watt Avenue North exit. Head north on Watt Avenue, make a right onto Fair Oaks Blvd. Follow Fair
Oaks Blvd. to Van Alstine and turn right. Turn left onto California Ave. and then right into the park entrance.

Head south on I-5 and take the Twin Cities Road exit. Turn left on Twin Cities Road and turn right on Franklin Blvd. Continue on
Franklin Blvd., the Visitor Center will be on your left.

From I-5 take the Richards Blvd. off-ramp then go west to get to the south entrance of the park, or follow the Garden Highway exit
east from I-5 to find the north entrance.

From U.S. Highway 50, take the Watt Avenue North exit. Head north on Watt Avenue, make a right onto Fair Oaks Blvd. Follow Fair
Oaks Blvd. to Van Alstine and turn right. Turn left onto California Ave. and then right into the park entrance.
From U.S. Highway 50, take the Watt Avenue North exit. From Watt Avenue, make a left onto Elverta Road. Make a right into the
park entrance, located just past the bridge over Dry Creek.
From Highway 5 or 99, drive north and continue on 99 at the split. Exit at Elverta Road and turn right. Follow for 5 miles and turn
left into park entrance just past Cherry Island Golf.
Mather Regional Park (4103 Eagles Nest Road, Mather CA 95655)
From U.S. Highway 50, take the Mather Field off-ramp. Follow Mather Field Road south to Mather Blvd. and make a left. Make
another left on Douglas Blvd. Take a right on Eagles Nest Road and follow to the park entrance.
Sherman Island (Sherman Island Road, Antioch CA)
Head south on I-5. At the intersection of I-5 and Highway 12, take Highway 12 west. Then exit onto Highway 160, heading south.
Turn right onto Sherman Island Road at the point where Highway 160 drops off at the levee. Continue south on Sherman Island
Road until it enters the park.
