The new Air Force PLAYpass Program is here to provide
deployed/affected Single Airmen and Air Force Families respite from
the challenges of deployment, in a continuing effort to build an allaround resilient force. PLAYpass offers discount cards providing
military members and their eligible family members the opportunity
to participate in Force Support Squadron programs either for FREE
or at a reduced cost. All Armed Forces personnel stationed at
Eglin are eligible to participate in the PLAYpass program,
as a family or as single service members.
PLAYpass discount cards come printed with specific dollar-amount
coupon blocks, the values of which can be applied to the specified
programs offered at each participating FSS activity. The total
value of each PLAYpass card is in excess of $500!
PLAYpass cards may be picked up at Eglin's Airman & Family
Readiness Center and are valid for use through December 31, 2011.
For complete rules and eligibility, visit MyAirForceLife.com. Also
visit eglinforcesupport.com for ongoing news and information
about the PLAYpass program and all the recreational opportunities
coming your way!
Force Support Squadron (FSS) gift cards make it easy to purchase
gifts for family and friends on special occasions, holidays, or for just
everyday use on base!
FSS cards are simple to use and provide specialized purchasing power within all participating
NAF MWR activities. There are no fees to use your card, and no loss of value if you don't use it
right away! Use your gift card just like cash to make purchases at all participating FSS locations.
Your purchases are deducted from the gift card balance and any unused balance will remain on
the card for future use. Each time you use your gift card, your receipt will provide the balance
remaining on your card. Cash value can even be refilled for multiple uses of a single card, and
the balance of any card can be checked online at www.myfssgiftcard.com.
Gift cards may be purchased and used at any of these participating
Eglin FSS activities: Aero Club, Arts & Crafts Center, Auto Hobby Shop,
Bowling Center, Child Development Center, the Bayview Club, Fitness
Center, Golf Course, ITT, Outdoor Recreation, Youth Activities and
School Age Program.
Use of your card is not restricted just to Eglin either; FSS gift cards are accepted at NAF MWR
activities on any base, Air Force-wide!
Opportunities may vary per base and are subject to availability
Need some ideas on how to use your card? You could take a much-needed vacation!
Experience the great outdoors! Sign up for a parents' night out! Enroll your child in an activity
or sport! Play a few rounds of golf! Frame that special photo or art piece! Enjoy a tasty breakfast,
lunch or dinner! Put some fuel in your boat! ... Or choose from any FSS activity and location for
countless more ways to enjoy your FSS gift card!

Introducing
The Bayview Club
After a 7-month, $2 million renovation—
along with the merging of two clubs into
a single consolidated club—it's true to
say that Eglin's Club has seen a lot of
changes lately. The latest (and certainly
not the least) of which is the club's new
name, chosen by Eglin members via a
"Name Your Club" Contest. With all the
votes counted, the winning name had
its public unveiling on July 8th, 2011,
and the Eglin Club officially became
"The Bayview Club!" With this fresh new
identity in place, the Club has renewed
its dedication to providing the top quality
programs and services that have made it
an award-winning Air Force Club and a
beloved part of the Eglin community.
services—including one-on-one
individual support—to service
members and their families. The
MFLC is available for casual,
even spontaneous outreach
opportunities for discussing
issues experienced within
the military community, and
also delivers presentations on
deployment stress, reintegration,
coping skills and building
resiliency. For more information
on these services, please contact
Ms. Thomas at 850-882-3097.

School Liaison Program News:
Adopt-A-School Initiative
The Eglin School Liaison Officer's Adopt-A-School Program
is a positive partnership between the Okaloosa County
School District and Eglin AFB. The purpose of the program
is to utilize the human resources and talents of Eglin
personnel to strengthen, enhance and enrich the quality of
education and needed services in Okaloosa County public
schools.
Adopters are the foundation of the Adopt-A-School Program,
committing time, energy and expertise to an individual
school. Interested squadrons and/or flights will work with a
specific school to help sustain and enhance the education
opportunities for the students in that school.
A commitment from all partners at the highest level is
essential.
