April's meeting will be a special meeting
where all members will be voting in
addition to the board. The primary
reason for this meeting is to make
changes to the clubs bylaws. As the
legal articles of incorporation that the
club follows it is necessary for the entire
membership to agree on the changes.
All members should have received a
copy either at the meeting or through
the mail. They can also be found on the
website in the member section at this
time.
The primary changes to the bylaws are
to modernize the gender terminology
and address the matter of domestic
partners as members. They can either
be accepted in toto or left in their
current state. I would like to thank the
Bylaw Committee lead by Russ Robinson
for their effort to prepare this new set of
bylaws for the memberships approval.
There are also other matters the the
membership will need to vote on. The
Harbor Committee has proposed
purchasing a new gangway and bar
policies proposed by the Acting Bar
Manager need to be reviewed.
Because everyone has a vote it is
important you attend the meeting and
make your opinion known.
Because the items to discuss may take
quite some time during the special
meeting we may not have enough
time to cover numerous subjects. If
you have a subject you would like to
see presented at the special meeting
please inform me so that it can
possibly be added to the agenda.

We are expecting big things this year
(like every year) so we will need
everyone to get involved!
Come to the Work Parties!
Contact the Vice Commodore to join
the members of the House and
Grounds Committee and keep the club
building and property looking great.
Check the calendar for the regular

These parties are for general yard
work plus building and maintenance.
There are also several special projects
That occur at different times requiring
special skills. The Vice Commodore
can arrange for you to help with the
Window, Bench and Table repair or
other special project. The Secretary
can provide information on our
ambitious documentation and
historical archive projects. With this
much history, you know that will be a
large undertaking.
Volunteer at Events!
We always need members to help out
at events. You can decorate, serve,
cook, clean or whatever you like to do
to help out. Contact the Event
