The structural design of the keel has been
RINA approved. This implies a further
guarantee of the structure's quality; This is
also guaranteed by the use of
state-of-the-art techniques and the
materials used. Construction materials and
techniques have been carefully researched in
order to find the best balance between
quality, weight, and rigidity.The hull, deck,
trays and structures are made of high
performance sandwich panel with PVC core
to achieve maximum rigidity and impact
resistance. An infusion lamination system
has been used for these parts, a technique
that reduces weight while improving the
control and quality of the
construction.Vinylester resin is used to
laminate the entire hull. This type of resin is
extremely effective in preventing osmosis
because of its chemical and mechanical
properties. Azimut is therefore able to
provide a 5-year warranty against
osmosis.Isophthalic resin of recognized
quality is used throughout the remainder of

structural bulkheads are in sandwich panel
with PVC core.The groundbreaking design
concepts make full use of the optimum
performance levels of the latest materials
and techniques: for example, by
transforming the indoor flooring (trays) into
a structural element it's possible to eliminate
a part of the traditional skeleton made up of
transverse and longitudinal planks,
increasing the space for furnishings without
compromising the robustness and rigidity in fact, creating a more lightweight
structure. One of the key features of this
transformation is the use ofpioneering
structural adhesives.The gluing technique
and resulting structural concepts have been
checked using FEM analysis. This calculation
system is used in the aeronautical and car
manufacturing sectors. It allows us to
simulate the behavior of a boat under
extreme conditions, checking every tiny part
of the structure.The superstructure mullions
are reinforced with carbon fibre to increase
their rigidity and reduce their weight. The
keel is of the planing type, with a deadrise
angle of 12° aft and 21°in the middle.

Propulsion system summary
The levels of performance described apply to
a standard craft (with standard equipment
installed) with clean hull, propeller and rudders.

performance were achieved under favourable
