This robot and troll building class is a cross between art & engineering along with fun & recycling. Bring a clean can or small box AND your imagination to build a robot or troll using a large variety of bits, parts and pieces from my workshop. We’ll use some tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, drill, awl, glue, tape…whatever works! Emmet and his friends go on an epic journey to stop the evil tyrant, Lord Business. We will watch segments of the movie, build and create our own Lego masterpieces and activities. Build a custom mini-figure to take home. Registration will be taken that day. Dogs will hunt for treat-filled eggs. Golden egg to win a prize. An adult should accompany dog-owners under the age of 12. Rain Date: Monday, March 30 @ 6:00 pm Preschool Registration Preschool Registration is now open! Athletic Programs: CHICAGO BULLS SKILLS CAMP The Chicago Bulls are coming to Frankfort. This camp will teach the latest techniques in ball handling, passing, shooting and rebounding while also teaching children how to be student-athletes and great teammates. Every participant will receive top flight instruction from professional Bulls/Sox Academy coaches, who have learned from the Chicago Bulls coaching staff. In addition to the premier instruction, each participant will receive a replica autographed photo of a current/ former Bulls player, camp t- shirt, and a personalized scouting report. Your child will not only have fun, but will be given important tools to become a better basketball player. Location: Grand Prairie School(north entrance door #10) Day/Date: Thursday/March 5 - 26 Time: 6:00 -7:30 pm Age: 5 - 14 years Fee: $124 CHICAGO FIRE INDOOR DEVELOPMENT SOCCER LEAGUE The Chicago Fire Soccer Club Staff will conduct an instructional indoor soccer program focusing on the basic skills for the beginning and novice player’s age 4 through 4th grade. A Red Chicago Fire/ Frankfort Park District jersey is needed and can be purchased at the time of registration for $15. Shin Guards & shorts are required. ILLINOIS GIRLS LACROSSE LEAGUE Be a part of a youth lacrosse league for girls in the Chicago area. The emphasis of this program is to develop the girl within the sport of lacrosse. The goals of this league are to understand the rules of lacrosse and demonstrate active team work, sportsmanship and personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. All players will receive equal playing time. Practices are one day per week for 1.5 hours, with games being played on Sunday afternoons. Game locations rotate within your division. There will be 3 levels within the league. Teams are coached by volunteer parents (with support of IGLA coaching staff). All participants must provide their own lacrosse stick, goggles and face guard.
