1. Choose the Body and the 3D-Basic Surface of a garment
We use virtual human
bodies (3D Surface in DXF),
obtained from a bodyscanner .
We also can use parametric
virtual mannequins developed
in ASSOL CAD ore in other
software.
After importing or creating
a 3D-body, specialist should
define a surface of a garment.
ASSOL CAD SYSTEM includes parametric 3D-Basic
Surfaces for different types of
the garment that links to the
surface of a body. Just define
the parameters of the 3D-Basic
Surface (such as: length of the
garment, gaps between body and garment etc.), and then
you automatically get
the 3D-Basic Surface
and two its projections. We can then
modify the Surface
using its parameters
or manually (moving
control points, lines
ore just changing the
surface itself). All
tools are parametrical—so we
could save the 3D-Basic Surface under new name, than
choose different body — and
3D-Basic Surface will redesign
automatically to save the same
parameters to the new body.
