Troy Brown is the
Accounting Director for the
Bulloch County Board of
Education. He is a graduate of
Georgia Southern
University. Mr. Brown has
served on the Board of
Directors since 2003.
Beth Mathews
Lenwood Roberts
Beth Mathews is the
Vice President for College
Advancement at Ogeechee
Technical College. She
received her BS and MPA
from Georgia Southern University. Beth also earned her
Certified Fund Raising
designation in 2011.
Lenwood Roberts is a
graduate of Paine College in
Biology and a graduate of
Georgia Southern in
Education and
Administration. He is also a
retired administrator from
Screven County.
Final Selections will be made by you, the membership, at the Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting
will be announced in the next newsletter. No other nominations will be accepted from the floor, however, if you wish to run, the procedure is as follows:
♦ The member must submit his or her name to the Credit Union at least 30 days prior to the Annual
Meeting.
♦ The member must list who he or she is opposing.
♦ The member must have 2% of the membership’s signatures on a petition, which must be submitted
at the Annual Meeting.

We have been authorized to loan $1,000,000 in subsidized mortgages for those members
who want to become first time home buyers. As a Credit Union, our mission is to help
members achieve their dreams of home ownership. Through this program, members will
receive financial education on saving for a home, finding a home, and
then receiving very favorable mortgage terms.
The number of loans available are limited and qualifying applicants will receive the
following benefits:
• A savings account bearing 5% interest to help increase down payment funds.
• Only 5% down payment needed, CORE will finance 95% of the purchase price.
• A 5 year, 5% fixed rate mortgage with payments based on a 25 year period.
• No origination fees, no application fees, and only $5 in closing costs.
To qualify, members will need to meet the following criteria:
• Household income is less than $44,800
Jan. 16
(less than 80% of the area median income level).
Feb. 20 • Complete an affidavit acknowledging not previously owning real estate.
• Attend three 90 minute home ownership workshops.
• Join CORE, if not already a member.
