SieMatic IndividualDesign:
Perfect integration of the kitchen into individual room concepts
Löhne, 15 September 2012. When it comes to "good" kitchen planing in the truest sense of the word, a comprehensive room concept
has always played an important role at SieMatic. With SieMatic
IndividualDesign, the premium kitchen manufacturer lives up to this
philosophy. "Our concept offers a variety of exciting options for the
perfect integration of the kitchen into individual room planning",
says Ulrich W. Siekmann, Managing Director of SieMatic Möbelwerke.
In addition to many options for combining different kitchen programs, the planing philosophy of FloatingSpaces is an essential
aspect of SieMatic IndividualDesign: It creates fluid transitions of
space and function, thus facilitating a variety of interconnections
among cooking, living, technology, and esthetics. One of its central
elements is the panel system developed especially by SieMatic,
which variably combines kitchen and living space into a single unit.
The panel shelves offer the widest variety of options for flexible wall
design, providing sophisticated accents through the individual
arrangement and interplay of colors, woods, and materials.

"When concrete meets the wood culture of the Alps": In a nutshell,
that describes this very modern staging of a domicile in Switzerland
with SieMatic IndividualDesign. Furniture elements painted in lotus
white, both matt and glossy, convey a strict modern image – combined with the homey elegance of light natural oak, the new wood
color from SieMatic. Accents are provided by nickel gloss recess
channels. The veneer front panels of the island extend nearly to the
floor and are distinguished (like the design of the surrounding elements) by a continuous grain. In this way, a formal unit is created
that optically separates kitchen and living area.
The panel wall system and the tall cabinets are installed in such a
way that they seem to be components of the room architecture. In

order to break up the strict geometry of the kitchen, the fine lotus
white shelves have been arranged offset on the panel wall in the
color natural oak. The joints of the panel wall are continued in the
white vertical recess channels of the tall cabinets. Finally, the island
– in formal optical unity with the other kitchen elements – separates
the kitchen from the living area.

In this kitchen planning, SieMatic IndividualDesign interprets the
ambience of an upscale Italian city apartment: Cabinets and panel
wall – in the new elegant lacquer color "agate grey matt" – create a
fluid transition to the living area. This connection is supported by
the tall cabinet doors, which extend to the floor. The glass cabinets,
with their door frames of polished nickel, create a particularly
homey effect.
The overall picture is lightened in a sophisticated way by the offset,
lacquer gloss shelves and the cabinet elements of different widths.
Not only beautiful, but practical as well: Concealed behind the
many doors is a voluminous amount of storage space. Dark glossy
accents are provided by the deep niche area with the black lacquered base cabinets. Its cubic form is echoed skillfully in the island. The elegant marble pattern of the niche back panel is also
repeated in the island countertop.
