A New Concept In High Power Munition
A new concept in high-power munitions WWW.STILETTO.UK.COM Background: - In reality rifle and pistol munitions have changed very little since the advent of the bullet in the mid 1880’s - Whilst the material and propellants have been modified over the years the basic principle of firing through a rifled barrel has changed little - Bullet effectiveness has always been a balance between internal and external ballistics and the thermo dynamics of the propellant - Bullet technology today has been surpassed by the technology of personal body armour and that of vehicle armoured plate - Apart from very high calibre weapons, armour is now effective against bullets - It is time for a radical rethink of high power bullet technology - 9mm ‘LUGER’ Stiletto bullets have been designed to combine the thermodynamic power of a standard cartridge with rocket technology to create what is effectively a rocket propelled bullet - 7.62/51 and 7.62/54R Stiletto bullets have a 3 part bullet designed to revolutionise how bullets impact and pierces targets protected by to 20.5 mm armour plate - Stiletto bullets have been designed to work with both NATO and Russian military 9mm and 7.62/51 & 54R weaponry without modification - Stiletto bullets have been designed and tested using an average hunting grade propellant, cartridge and percussion cap and in every case have exceeded the performance of all known competitors. - Stiletto 9 mm. bullets are lighter than all their counterparts www.stiletto.uk.com 1 Stiletto Uniqueness World leading ammunition and weapons systems manufactured in Wales - Technological ‘Secret Sauce’ - Manufacturing excellence driving significant production cost savings Secret Sauce - Proprietary control of chamber gas leading to increased initial velocity - Lead melting and additives in bullet - 100% propellant burn - Manufacturing process Stiletto technology uniquely increases accuracy (grouping and reliability) and penetration qualities www.stiletto.uk.com 2 Technology: Stiletto 9mm ‘LUGER’ Bullet - Designed to NATO standards - Close quarter armour piercing round designed to penetrate all current body armour and light armoured vehicles Effective use in pistols to a range of 50m - For use in submachine guns to a range of 100m - Muzzle velocity increased from 400m/sec to 600m/sec - Weight of the bullet is only 6 gr Cut away analysis — — — — — Wolfram Carbide armour piercing tip Bullet head Ram-jet combustion chamber Standard dimension 9mm cartridge Percussion cap — Finished Stiletto bullet www.stiletto.uk.com 3 Technical characteristics - General layout of the STL - 30 General layout of High explosive dual-purpose STL G-30 grenade without case Key Attributes: - The STL - 30 is a very light personnel-held portable and universal weapons system with a maximum range of up to 3.5 km (both for land-based and air-borne targets). - The STL - 30 combines the advantage of a machine gun and grenade launcher in a special operatins situation, incorporating new and unique benefits while maintaining key safety features. www.stiletto.uk.com 16 The STL-30 works on the blow back principle developed by combustion gases. Firing from the Stiletto grenade launcher is performed using a case-less round housing a high explosive grenade. Firing is performed on a low trajectory in single shot or in a semi-automatic mode. When firing, the ammunition is provided via a removable magazine having a five grenade capacity. A ten grenade magazine is also available. The STL - 30 can also be installed on mounts and coupled with optronics for use on vehicles, APC’s and boats. Should end users require, a belt fed system can be used when mounted for automatic firing. Principle design data of the STL - 30: Launcher weight 6.5 kg Magazine capacity 5 or 10 Effective range (depending on the sight) 2000 m Maximum range 3500 m Fire cycle 40 per minute Recoil energy (maximum) 32 joule Muzzle velocity 280 m/sec Maximum pressure of gasses 160 mpa www.stiletto.uk.com 17 High explosive dual purpose Grenade: STL G - 30 The STL G - 30 is designed to neutralise enemy personnel and their weapons systems, as well as air and land-based armoured targets protected by up to 100 mm thick armour. The grenade consists of a fuse, fragmentation shell, cumulative crater, blasting and propelling charges. Distant arming point fuses provide grenade explosion at contact point. The fuse provides self-detonation in the absence of any target contact. Further, the fragmentation casing serves to create fragmentation on detonation. This principal uses the pressure developed upon firing by the combustion gas to recoil the slide. During the side recoil the fired cartridge case is extracted and ejected, the hammer is cocked and the recoil spring is activated. The slide is then automatically moved forward towards the closed position, feeding the next cartridge from magazine into the chamber. The 9 mm LUGER with AP bullet The 7,62 x 25 mm Tokarev AP bullet Stiletto Pistol (left side) Stiletto Pistols incorporates new and unique benefits: 1. interchangeable barrels for the 9 mm. “Luger” and 7.62x25 “Tokarev” 2. moving barrel while firing to reduce recoil. 3. permanent under barrel laser aimer is charged by barrel movement. Stiletto Pistols are effective against threats that are equipped with advanced bullet proof vests at distance of 50 m and light armored targets (6 mm. / 420 Brinell) at distance of 30 m. www.stiletto.uk.com 20 TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF STILETTO’S PISTOL Caliber 9 mm LUGER; 7,62 x 25 mm Tokarev Rate of fire Not less than 45 per minute.
