A Swedish delicacy.
Procordia leads the Swedish market in jams.
And Felix is our most popular brand.
P
rocordia is one of Sweden’s largest
food companies, with six production
facilities, ten brands, 1000 employees,
1200 products and an annual turnover of 486
million dollars (2010). We are part of Orkla,
a Norwegian corporation listed on the Oslo
Stock Exchange.
We live by the motto “the better the ingredients, the better the food”, and as a company
we are deeply rooted in Swedish culinary
tradition. We have long been Sweden’s market leader in pickled vegetables, potato and
tomato products, snack foods, frozen dishes,
fruit drinks and berry soups, and of course
Swedish jams.
Our biggest brand is Felix, through which we
handle the export marketing of our jams.
Pure foods that respect people and the environment.
I
n all that we do, Procordia aims to produce foods that are pure in every way.
We place exacting demands on our suppliers and on the working conditions of the
berry pickers. Felix jams are free from preservatives. The glass jars are x-rayed through
GlassChek Quad in order to detect any possible impurities.
All Felix products are free from trans fats,
genetically manipulated or irradiated ingredients and glutamate. We will soon switch to
the exclusive use of natural aromas, natural

coloring and canola oil, as well as replacing
modified starches and discontinuing the use
of yeast extract. Our potato peels and other
food wastes are converted into biogas, providing heat for up to 700 households in our
hometown of Eslöv, as well as providing
50,000 miles worth of vehicle fuel per year.
We have even introduced FSC-approved
packaging. The Forest Stewardship Council
is an independent, international organization
that supports the environmentally friendly,
socially responsible and economically robust
use of the Earth’s forests.
Felix - innovation and
a good Swedish tradition.
F
elix is our brand for exported jams,
and is already the market leader in
lingonberry jam in the U.S.A. The
jams’ obvious Scandinavian style and
taste make them attractive to gourmets
who prefer natural foods. In Sweden, Felix
is as familiar as Volvo, IKEA and
Swedish meatballs. Meatballs served
with Felix Lingonberry Jam are a real
classic. 97% of Swedes are familiar with
Felix and most of them buy Felix products every week.
The faith that Swedish people have in
the quality of Felix products runs deep.
Several of the Felix products that were
introduced fifty to seventy years ago,
such as pickles, mashed potato mix and
tomato ketchup, still hold over 50% of
the Swedish market in spite of decades
of stiff competition from American
brands. Felix has even developed a long
list of successful modern products, such
as its frozen dinners with both Swedish
and international flavors. Tradition and
innovation are words Felix lives by.
Felix’s main office lies in the small town of
Eslöv in Sweden’s southernmost region,
Scania. The town is predominantly
surrounded by farms and fields, with
forests just a few miles away.
Pure, high-quality jams - without preservatives.
S
wedes are used to picking their
own mushrooms and berries in the
woods, so the level of excellence
required for a jam to succeed in the
Swedish market is very high. This is why
Felix jams contain a lot of berries, around
50%, and they are always of the highest
quality. The ingredients are everything.
Fine berries, pure sugar and fresh water are what make Felix Jam worthy of
its name. Our jam contains no preservatives. We use only two additives, both
of which appear naturally in various
fruits and berries. Pectin (E440) gives the
jam the right consistency and appears
naturally in apple and citrus peel. Citric
acid (E330) is a sourness regulator which
appears naturally in citrus fruit.

B
oth their exclusive flavor and their
consistency allow Felix Swedish
jams to go well with a variety of
foods. Besides their obvious placement
in a store’s jelly and jam section, several
of the jams can be successfully displayed
together with meats and cheeses.
Wild Lingonberry/Lingon/Vaccinium vitis-idaea L.
Market leader in the USA!
Lingonberry jam is traditionally served with
moose and other game meats, meatballs,
herring, pancakes, yoghurt and breakfast
porridges like oatmeal. It is also delicious with
salty cheeses such as Roquefort and Chèvre.
The Lingon plant is a small bush, 4 – 15 inches
high, that grows in the vast pine forests which
thrive almost everywhere in Sweden. Lingon
is one of the so-called “superberries” and is
naturally rich in antioxidants.
Felix Lingonberry Jam has a high berry
content, 48%, and we use wild berries only. All
we add is sugar, water and a little pectin for
the sake of consistency.

Wild Cloudberry/Hjortron/Rubus chamaemorus L.
Wild Blueberry/Blåbär/Vaccinium myrtillus L.
Blueberry jam is traditionally served with
pancakes, as a breakfast condiment, and
used as a pie ingredient. In northern Sweden
it is also used in a special kind of blueberry
porridge.
The blueberry plant grows in tight clusters
all over Sweden. It is estimated to cover 17%
of the Swedish soil – an area the size of
Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire
combined! Blueberries are one of the socalled “superberries” and are naturally rich
in antioxidants.
Cloudberry jam is traditionally served with
exotic desserts, ice cream and waffles, or in
parfait. It is also delicious with deep-fried
Camembert.
Felix Blueberry Jam has a high berry content,
50%, and we use wild berries only. All we
add is sugar, water, pectin and ascorbic acid.
The cloudberry plant grows nearly everywhere in Sweden, from Lapland in the
north to Scania in the south. It grows best
in damp soils such as in bogs and marshes.
The cloudberry is rich in vitamin C and has a
very characteristic and exotic flavor.
Felix Cloudberry Jam has a high berry
content, 45%, and we use wild berries only.
Besides sugar and water, we only add pectin
and ascorbic acid.

Strawberries & Rhubarb/Jordgubbar & Rabarber/
Fragaria x ananassa & Rheum rhabarbarum L.
Strawberries and Rhubarb need no further
introduction on their own. But mixed together, their sweet and sour flavors become
something totally new. The jam is delicious
on toast, with ice cream or in pastries.
In Sweden it is common to grow rhubarb
and strawberries in your backyard garden.
Traditionally, the season’s first strawberries

are eaten om Midsummer Eve. Strawberries
are one of the so-called “superberries” and
are naturally rich in antioxidants.
Felix jam contains a lot of rhubarb and
strawberries, 48%. All we add is sugar, water,
pectin, ascorbic acid and a little aronia juice
for coloring.
The Nordic orange meets the red “superberries” of the forest in this luscious jam. The
nickname Nordic orange stems from the fact
that 100 grams of rose hips contain as much
vitamin C as 35 – 40 oranges. The jam is excellent with cheese and roasts.
