Recessed Installation
Constructed of all aluminum extrusion and materials.
Standard 900 series horizontal mailboxes are available in
"A" size compartments, 5"h X 6"w and configured in modules 3, 4 or 5 boxes wide and 5, 6 or 7 boxes high. Each 1/8"
extruded aluminum door swings on a continuous hinge and
is equipped with a 5 pin cylinder cam lock with 3 keys (1000
changes). Doors include permanent 3/4" high engraved
identification for a neat, uncluttered appearance. Larger size
boxes can be integrated into all modules for volume incoming mail as well as outgoing mail through a mail slot. Package
delivery can be accommodated with the addition of parcel
boxes with a dual locking system. All modules have standard
3/4" integral trim for stability, easy installation and a finished
appearance when recessed into a wall opening. Consult our
knowledgeable sales staff for assistance with customizing
units for your specific need.

FRONT LOADING: Master door swings on a continuous
hinge and features a top to bottom locking bar for security.
One compartment is required for postal access and cannot be
used for mail delivery but with the addition of a mail slot in the
door it becomes an outgoing letter box. Postal access door is
prepped to accept postal lock provided and installed by local
postal authority.

a concern. Modules are manufactured without integral trim
and the compartments are 5"h X 4"w. Standard modules are
7, 8, 9 or 10 boxes high and 4 or 5 boxes wide. All doors operate on continuous hinges and are 1/8" extruded aluminum
with engraved door identification. Locks are 5 pin cylinder
cam type with 3 keys (1000 changes)

The Carrington
The SMC Carrington Flat Mail Delivery Series is designed
for university, college, school and institutional applications.
The unique Carrington features convenient flat-mail delivery
into 16” deep compartments. Bottom-hinged 10 ½” wide x 2
1/8” high doors provide safety and convenience. The 22 ½”
wide space-saving 24-inch-on-center modules with integral
trim are easy to specify and equally easy to install. The roughopening width is 22 ½” inches (Rear Load). Modules are constructed of all aluminum extrusions and materials, and doors
are 1/8” thick extruded aluminum. 5-pin cam locks with 3 keys
each are standard. Combination locks and the ultra-secure
ALSS proprietary key system with 16 million key code combinations are options. Rear-load 10H, 12H and 24H modules
provide 20, 24, and 48 compartments respectively.

Front Loading Recessed and
Surface Mount Installation
Frames and doors are extruded aluminum and the 7"deep
compartments are 24 ga. Steel. Doors are 5 1/2"w and 16"h
and have concealed hinges. Each door is equipped with a 5
pin cylinder cam lock (1000 changes) and 2 keys. The front of
each door has a 2 1/2"w x 5/8"h indentation that will accommodate a pressure sensitive label (included) for the tenant
name and /or box number. Modules are available with 3 to 7
compartments and come in surface mount and fully recessed
models. The surface mount model can be semi recessed with
the addition of a trim kit to cover the rough wall opening.
Modules are completely assembled for easy installation and
are prepped for postal access locks to be installed by local
postal authority. All compartments are usable for incoming
mail. Units can be customized. Consult our sales staff for
assistance with modifications to meet your needs.
