Ask at the bar for more details. – OUR STORY – THE HANGMAN PALE ALE 4.9% ABV A big, brash American-style Pale Ale that features a huge hit of citrus hop notes – from Cascade and Liberty hops – and bold finish of bitterness. We are an Australian-owned and operated brewery lead by fifth and sixth generation convict descendants. Our Australian craft beers bring to life the true stories of early convicts and settlers, beginning with traditional, great tasting ales – just like your grandfathers’ grandfather drank. We take pride in the complex and sophisticated flavours of our brews, which are achieved while staying true to our simple brewing process – nothing but barley, hops, water and yeast. THE BUTCHER PORTER 5.0% ABV A traditional, richly complex Robust Porter with the addition of chocolate malt and flaked oats to add flavour and create a silky smooth finish. Our first batch of Red Ale – originally known as Richard Byrne Red Ale – was brewed September 2008, and since then we have created a core range of beers – based around the shady characters and sly merchants that called the first settlement home – as well as the Conviction Range of limited edition beers that push the boundaries of brewing. Our beers are currently available on tap in selected pubs and restaurants as well as in bottles at good craft beer retailers. Keep an eye out for our distinctive logos on the taps and in the fridges of all good drinking establishments. THE GOVERNOR GOLDEN ALE 4.5% ABV Starring Topaz and Galaxy, and Mosaic hops, The Governor features aromas of stone fruit, a solid malt bill and a refreshing, light bitterness. – OUR BREWERY – Started in 2008, Rocks Brewing Co is the culmination of a lot of dreams and the result of some serious blood, sweat and tears. Now, after six years of being the quintessential Australian gypsy brewers, we have opened our own state-of-the-art brewery in the Sydney suburb of Alexandria. The once solely industrial area, is at the forefront of the Sydney culinary scene and the perfect home for our craft beers, our new brewery and our Brewery Bar restaurant. THE CONVICT LAGER 5.1% ABV A craft lager that satisfies without sacrificing flavour, brewed with late additions of Hallertau and Saaz hops for a fresh, grassy hop palate. The first of its kind in Australia, the Rocks Brewing Co brewhouse is a High Efficiency Brewing System from IDD in California. And we’re very happy to be the first craft brewery in Australia to purchase and install this type of brewing equipment. THE BOXER RED ALE 4.2% ABV A traditional Irish Red Ale, this easy drinking beer showcases a malt-driven caramel flavour profile, and chocolate and caramel on the nose. At the end of the day, the technology we have invested in means less water usage – close to 70,000 litres in the first year – and less energy expenditure. It is good for us as a company, better for the environment on a whole and great for you, our customers, as it means fresh, quality beer. THE PICKPOCKET WIT 5.0-6.0% ABV A Fruit Wit Bier featuring a continually evolving malt bill, and brewed with an array of seasonal fruits and spices.
