FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact: Perry Hintz Cell: 262-930-9708 | Email: phintz36@wi.rr.com Third Generation Sauter to make NASCAR Debut at Iowa Lester Building Systems LLC brings Travis Sauter to the next level LESTER PRAIRIE, MN (July 29, 2013) – Lester Building Systems LLC will sponsor the NEMCO Motorsports No. 87 with super late model standout Travis Sauter behind the wheel, as the third generation Wisconsin driver makes his NASCAR debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series US Cellular 250 at the Iowa Speedway on August 3rd. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather Jim, a former Winston Cup and IROC test driver, his uncles Johnny and Jay, and his father Tim – all having successful NASCAR careers – Travis is out to prove he has the skill and determination to make it at racing’s highest level. Travis has a strong desire to carry on the Sauter family tradition. “This will be a proud moment for the Sauter’s and I want to thank Lester Buildings and Joe Nemechek for making this happen,” Sauter said. “To have a sponsor who watched me race on the short tracks and believes in me is a great feeling. Now that I’ve been given this chance, it’s up to me to turn this into something more. I’m ready to prove that I can succeed and move up to NASCAR full time.” Travis began racing street stock cars in 2002 on the bullrings of Central Wisconsin and quickly ascended through limited late models to super late models. He now runs in the ARCA Midwest Tour, along with other special events. Travis has won the prestigious Oktoberfest 100 at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway three times and in 2012 he won the inaugural ARCAMT Howie Lettow Memorial 150 at the Milwaukee Mile; an event that drew 80 entries including NASCAR stars Rusty Wallace and Matt Kenseth. “We’re thrilled. Everyday we help our customers realize their building dreams and this week we’re helping Travis realize his dream,” said Stephanie Beste, Lester Buildings’ Marketing Manager. “Lester has been a long-time supporter of motorsports and we’re thankful for their loyal fans.” A sixteen-time NNS winner and former series champion, Joe Nemechek knows what it takes to compete at the next level. “I’m looking forward to putting Travis in our car. He definitely has the talent to run out front and win races. I get to see him race super late models against my son. Travis is fast and he’s proven to me he can win races. I’m glad to give him his first race in a Nationwide car and we are going to do our best to give him a competitive piece.” Veteran crew chief Steve Gray will guide Sauter from atop the NEMCO pit box. “We are a small team hanging in there in this economy. We appreciate Lester Buildings coming on board to help put the whole deal together,” concluded Nemechek. “I’ve raced against Johnny and even against his dad…come to think of it, I’ve raced against Sauter’s my whole life.” About Lester Building Systems LLC Established in 1947, Lester Building Systems LLC has designed and manufactured over 150,000 post-frame buildings for the agricultural, equestrian, hobby and commercial building markets.
