Did you miss the Rising Sun Car Show? Rising Sun Car Show July 10, 2011 Skip Jackson and Ken Kreuter were the two official representatives of the OVAHC to make the trek to Rising Sun this year with Healeys. Bill and Judy Chamberlain showed their 1971 Olds Cutlass convertible. We did not bring home any trophies this year, but we did meet lots of people who were owners, former owners, admirers, storytellers, neighbors, hopefuls, etc. Skip had a great time with the kids, pointing out his license plate “HAPPY” and then the permanent smile that is the Bugeye grille. Ken conducted a mini-tech session on radiator baffles with the owner of a Healey powered by a Pontiac inline six (tight fit, but it works). Yes, it was beastly hot, but Skip guided us to a shady position on the main drag. Remember, in Rising Sun a tall building is two stories, and a skyscraper is three. Mark your calendar for next year—more info in March/April. Caught in the Act OVAHC members enjoying each other’s company at the Conclave in Colorado—July 2011.
