Für die oben bezeichneten reihenweise zu fertigenden oder gefertigten Geräte wird dieser
Nachtrag mit folgender Maßgabe erteilt:
Die sich aus der Allgemeinen Betriebserlaubnis ergebenden Pflichten gelten sinngemäß
auch für den Nachtrag.
In den bisherigen Genehmigungsunterlagen treten die aus diesem Nachtrag ersichtlichen
Änderungen bzw. Ergänzungen ein.

Die Ketten- und Radabdeckungen für KRad, Typ H, dürfen auch zum Anbau an den in den
beiliegenden Prüfunterlagen aufgeführten Krafträdern unter den dort genannten
Bedingungen feilgeboten werden.
Bei Verwendung der Geräte an den in den beiliegenden Prüfunterlagen beschriebenen
Krafträdern, die mit Einzelbetriebserlaubnis (EBE) nach §21 StVZO in den Verkehr gelangt
sind, ist eine unverzügliche Überprüfung des Ein- oder Anbaus der Fahrzeugteile durch
einen amtlich anerkannten Sachverständigen oder Prüfer für den Kraftfahrzeugverkehr oder
durch einen Prüfingenieur einer Überwachungsorganisation nach Nummer 4 der Anlage VIIIb
zur StVZO durchzuführen.
Der ordnungsgemäße Ein- oder Anbau ist gemäß §22 Absatz 1 Satz 5 bei der Überprüfung
mit positivem Ergebnis zu bestätigen. Nach durchgeführter Abnahme ist die ausgestellte
Bestätigung mit dieser ABE und den Fahrzeugpapieren mitzuführen und den zuständigen
Personen auf Verlangen auszuhändigen. Letzteres entfällt nach Berichtigung der
Fahrzeugpapiere.
Im Übrigen gelten die im beiliegenden Nachtragsgutachten der TÜV SÜD Auto Service
GmbH, München, vom 16.12.2015 festgehaltenen Angaben.

Nebenbestimmungen
Die in der bisherigen Genehmigung enthaltenen Auflagen gelten auch für diesen Nachtrag.
Rechtsbehelfsbelehrung
Gegen diese Genehmigung kann innerhalb eines Monats nach Bekanntgabe Widerspruch
erhoben werden. Der Widerspruch ist beim Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, Fördestraße 16,
24944 Flensburg, schriftlich oder zur Niederschrift einzulegen.

Der Anbau erfolgt mit den OriginalBefestigungsteilen an den serienmäßigen Befestigungspunkten.
Erforderliche Bohrungen sind in den Austauschteilen vorhanden. Falls erforderlich, werden Befestigungsteile mitgeliefert /

Prüfergebnis / Test result
Die in Anlage 1 aufgeführten Radabdeckungen wurden gemäß den unter Punkt 2
genannten Prüfungen getestet.
Die Teile erfüllen die in den Prüfgrundlagen genannten Anforderungen.

Schlussbescheinigung / Summary
Die Abnahme der Anbauteile durch einen amtlich anerkannten Sachverständigen
nach § 19.3 StVZO wird nicht für erforderlich gehalten.
An Fahrzeugen -im Verwendungsbereich- mit Einzelzulassung (EBE) muss nach
§19(3) StVZO eine Anbauabnahme durchgeführt werden.
Das Gutachten verliert seine Gültigkeit bei technischen Änderungen am Fahrzeugteil
oder wenn vorgenommene Änderungen an den im Verwendungsbereich beschriebenen Fahrzeugtypen die Verwendung des Teils beeinflussen, sowie bei Änderung der
gesetzlichen Grundlagen.
Gegen die Erteilung eines Nachtrags bestehen keine technischen Bedenken.
Das in der Anlage beschriebene Fahrzeugteil und der darin beschriebene
Typ entsprechen der genannten Prüfgrundlage.
Der Prüfbericht darf nur vom Auftraggeber und nur in vollem Wortlaut vervielfältigt und weitergegeben werden. Eine auszugsweise Vervielfältigung und
Veröffentlichung des Prüfberichtes ist nur nach schriftlicher Genehmigung
des Prüflaboratoriums zulässig
A check of the installation by an official recognised expert according to §19(3) StVZO
is not necessary.
The installation on vehicles with single type approval must be checked separately.
The approval loses validity in case of:
- modification of the technical unit
- changes on the vehicles described in the application list, which affect the usage of
the technical unit
- changes in the testing directives and requirements
There are no technical objections against granting an extension.
The vehicle component type described in the enclosure is in compliance with
the test specification mentioned above. The test report may be reproduced
and published in full and by the client only. It can be reproduced partially with
the written permission of the test laboratory only.

We recommend that prior to fitting, please refer to our Terms and Conditions

When fitting your Powerbronze product it will help you to use your
motorcycle manual for disassembly and reassembly of your motorcycle. You
will need a TRX star bit T25 to remove the original BMW Hugger fixings.
A few moments, checking the parts list and familiarising yourself with the kit
will make fitting easier. Remember; whenever a part is fixed by using
several nuts, bolts or screws they should be left loose until all are in place
and then tightened evenly.
Contents
Remove original rear hugger.
Remove film on your Powerbronze hugger.
Insert 3 grommets (1) and 3 spacers (2) into holes in the hugger
Clip two pairs of dual lock (5) (6) together and
stick them to the underside of hugger. Fit screen
trim (7) around the bottom edge of the hugger.

Issue 1
Secure hugger to swing arm using 3xM5 washer (3) and 3x M5x25 socket screw (4).
NOTE: Where adhesive is applied it is very important to ensure the bonding surface is clean and dry. The temperature must
not be below 15oc to obtain a good bond. Allow 72hrs before use to ensure full bond strength is obtained.

6. Fit hugger to; brackets using 2xM6x20 socket screws (6) and M6 flange nuts (7). Swing arm 1xM6x20 socket screw (6).

Fit bracket A0138Z to Left hand side of the swing arm as shown in Fig 1 using 1x M6x10 socket
screw.
Fit bracket A0139Z to Right hand side of the swing arm as shown in Fig 2 using 1x M6x10 socket
screw.
Fix hugger shell using 1 x M6x20 socket screw to swing arm in front mounting hole.
Attach hugger to brackets using 1 x M6x20 socket screw and M6 flange nut per bracket.
Check clearance with the hugger and rear tyre then tighten all fixings.

Please refer to manufacturers torque settings when fixing bolts to the swing arm. Spares can be obtained

Remove original Rear hugger
Remove protective film from hugger (ABS plastic hugger only)
Fit three grommets into holes in the hugger shell
Fit spacers into grommets
Remove brake line bracket
Fit right hand bracket underneath the brake line bracket using
original bolt.
Fit hugger to left hand side original brackets using
M6x20 socket screws.
Attach hugger to right hand side bracket using 1 M6x20 socket screw and M6 flange nut.

Issue 2
1. Remove original hugger. Retain original fixings.
2. Remove protective film.
3. Fit original inserts into Powerbronze hugger as shown below.
4. Peel backing off of double sided tape stuck to washer (2), and stick to the bottom of hugger fixing points. As shown
below.
5.Fit hugger to swing arm, using original screws.
IMPORTANT:
6. Remove, and refit brake line clip into Powerbronze hugger

Fit two spacer bolts (4) (refer to manufactures torque setting).
Fix bracket and hugger to spacer bolts using M6x12 screws (10) provided
MAKE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH CLEARANCE BETWEEN TYRE & HUGGER. ALSO CHECK THE CLEARANCE
BETWEEN HUGGER AND SUBFRAME.
IMPORTANT:
Always check alignment of rear hugger and mounting bolt tension periodically.

Unscrew brake line clip

GSX1300R HAYABUSA 99- 07 REAR HUGGER
You will need a set of spanners, sockets & screw drivers.
As a general rule a few moments checking the parts list and familiarising yourself
with the kit will make fitting easier in the long run. Remember whenever a part is
fixed by using several nuts, bolts or screws they should be left loose until they are in
place and then tightened evenly.
1). Remove the rear chain guard.
2). Check the protective film is removed from the hugger.
3). Fit grommets into large holes on rear hugger and spacers inside the grommets.
4). Fit hugger clamp bracket plate A0021Z and top hat bracket A0022Z around right
hand side of the upper rail on swinging arm using the M6 X 25 screws supplied.
5). Fit bracket A0023Z to the front chain guard mounting hole on swing arm and
under the hugger.
6). Place rear hugger onto the upper rail and fit the screws supplied on the left hand
side first then fit the screws on the right hand side to the clamps and set the alignment
of the rear hugger. All brackets allow adjustment before tightening and the clamp can
be slid along swing arm rail to allow larger adjustment.
NOTE: Only use the longer screw (M6 X 25) into the swing arm on the chain guard
side where bracket mounts. Use the other two longer screws (M6 X 25) on the
opposite side to chain guard through the clamp.

1) Remove original chain guard.
2) Remove bolt from brake line ‘P’ clip on right hand side of swing arm. See Figure 3.
3) Remove film from hugger and fit a grommet and spacer to each of the 4 holes in the hugger
shell.
4) Using 2 M6 x 20 socket head screws and M6 Flanged nuts, loosely attach bracket to hugger as
shown in Figure 2A & 2B.
5) Fix hugger to bike, locating bracket to fixing point for brake line ‘P’ clip. Fix ‘P’ clip and
bracket to swing arm using M6 x 20 socket head screw instead of original screw. See Figure 3.
6) Fix left hand side of hugger to swing arm using 2 M6 x 20 socket heat screws located in
original chain guard fixing points as shown in Figure 1.
7) Adjust hugger, check clearances all round and tighten all fixings.
Always check alignment of rear hugger and mounting bolt tension periodically.
IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH CLEARANCE BETWEEN
HUGGER AND TYRE.
PLEASE NOTE : Powerbronze have tested there is adequate clearance between
the hugger and sub frame on the standard machine.
We have not tested the huggers clearance with all pannier variations.
If you are fitting panniers to this bike, we recommend checking clearance
between the pannier frame, boxes and hugger.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS PARTICULAR HUGGER IS FOR
ROAD USE ONLY DUE TO THE UNPREDICTABLE NATURE
OF OFF ROAD TERRAIN.
WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT THIS HUGGER IS NOT USED
WITH OVERSIZED TYRES OR TYRES HAVING A LARGER
ROLLING DIAMETER THAN STANDARD.

6. Fit hugger to swing arm using 2xM5x20 socket screws (5) for L/H/S fixings, and 2xM5x30 socket screws (6)
for centre and R/H/S fixings.

Remove the brake line retainer. See fig.1
Fit bracket to swing arm of bike using 2 x M5x20 socket screws with 2 x M5 large
washers. See fig.2
6) Fit hugger to lugs on L/H side of swing arm using 2 x M6 x 20 socket screws. Fit hugger to
bracket on R/H side using 2 x M6 socket screws and 2 x M6 flange nuts.
7) Fit small tie wrap and pipe clip around the brake lines. Fit pipe clip into hugger. See fig.3
8) Adjust hugger on bracket so there are equal clearance both sides of tyre. Tighten all
screws.

1) Remove protective film on hugger.
2) Fit grommets into holes on hugger and spacers into grommets.
3) Fit rubber strips to the inside of clips supplied to protect the swing arm.
4) To fit R/H bracket, remove original bolt from inside of swing arm frame holding brake line retaining bracket
(position shown in Figure 3.) and attach R/H bracket using M6x20 Hex Head bolt and washer on tyre side of brake
line retaining bracket as shown in Figure 4.
5) Slide the hugger over rear wheel and line up holes in hugger with right hand bracket and ‘P’ Clip brackets. Use
four M6 X 20 socket screws & flange nuts supplied to attach Powerbronze Hugger to brackets.
6) Check clearance with the hugger and rear tyre then tighten all fasteners.
REMEMBER TO TIGHTEN ALL FASTENERS AND CHECK CLEARANCE WITH TYRE.

Fit rubber trim supplied to edge of hugger to prevent contact with the swing arm.
Fit grommets into holes on hugger and spacers into grommets.
Fit bracket A0138Z to Left hand side of the swing arm as shown in Fig 1 using 1x M6x10 socket
screw.
Fit bracket A0139Z to Right hand side of the swing arm as shown in Fig 2 using 1x M6x10 socket
screw.
Fix hugger shell using 1 x M6x20 socket screw to swing arm in front mounting hole.
Attach hugger to brackets using 1 x M6x20 socket screw and M6 flange nut per bracket.
Check clearance with the hugger and rear tyre then tighten all fixings.

When fitting your Powerbronze product it will help you to
use your motorcycle manual for disassembly and
reassembly of your motorcycle.
Taking a few moments to check the parts list and
familiarising yourself with the kit will make fitting easier.
Remember; whenever a part is fixed by using several
nuts, bolts or screws they should be left loose until all are
in place and then tightened.
Make sure there is enough clearance between the tyre, hugger and bracket.
Always check alignment of rear hugger and mounting bolt tension periodically.
In the event that you do not fix the hugger in compliance with these instructions, we cannot accept responsibility
for any damage to your bike. This does not affect your customer statutory rights.
Please refer to manufacturers torque settings when fixing bolts to the swing arm. Spares can be obtained
through Powerbronze.
It is recommended that should you be unable to following the instructions/fit the hugger as per these
instructions that you contact Powerbronze for assistance.

Remove original Rear hugger
Remove protective film from hugger (ABS plastic hugger only)
Fit three grommets into holes in the hugger shell
Fit spacers into grommets
Remove brake line bracket
Fit right hand bracket underneath the brake line bracket using
original bolt.
Fit hugger to left hand side original brackets using
M6x20 socket screws.
Attach hugger to right hand side bracket using 1 M6x20 socket screw and M6 flange nut.

1. Remove original chain guard.
2. Remove original brake line clip
3. Remove rear mudguard.
4. Remove protective film.
5. Fit Rubber grommets (2) and spacers (3) to holes.
6.Fit edge trim (6) to the bottom for hugger as shown below.

7. Fit hugger using 3x M6x20 socket screws (4). And 2x brake line clips (5).
