FROM THE DESK OF THE PARKS MANAGER...
Spring is here! I hope everyone is enjoying the weather as it begins to warm
up. Parks and Recreation have a lot of exciting things happening these
next few months. There will be a new shelter at Wixson Park that can be
used, rented and enjoyed by everyone. We have a 3rd of July Celebration
this year that will include food vendors, arts and crafts, games, live music,
a Color Run and to conclude the evening we will have a fireworks display.
For the first time, we will be offering a summer flag football league for youth
and adult co-ed softball in the late summer. Also, we are offering an extra
week of swimming at the Selah Pool this summer! Check out our new programs and enjoy your summer!

Selah Parks & Recreation is dedicated to providing a fun and creative experience in learning to swim.
Instruction is based on a progressive curriculum that teaches the basic mechanics of swimming: pull, kick,
body position and breathing. The primary goal of the instructors is to teach each student how to swim and
be safe in an aquatic environment. To acheive this goal, the class size of each session is limited to 5 (Five)
Students.
