To maximize awareness and develop sustainable support, we partner with public and private entities. GVF’s mission is to achieve a desirable quality of life and a healthy, competitive economic environment by developing multi-faceted transportation strategies. LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT / EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GVF continued its leadership role as a model TMA in 2012. Our membership continues to grow, as do the programs that we offer. Our legislative breakfast was a great success, and our sustainability awards attracted the highest number of participants to date. The fall conference was met with very positive reviews, as it has for the past 18 years! These are just a few of the reasons to be a member of the TMA. We truly are one of the stronger organizations of its type in the United States, and our staff is second to none. We appreciate your support, and encourage you to continue your involvement with the TMA and its activities. Your active participation will reap rewards for your organization, and help us improve our community through our advocacy and outreach. We look forward to partnering with you through 2013 and beyond. GVF had another banner year in 2012 as we were once again recognized as a Best Workplaces for Commuters in the country. I was interviewed by the Urban Land Institute (ULI), as GVF was selected as a leader in providing last mile transit connections. In our shuttle management division, we saw growth in ridership and we also took over the management of a very large system from one of our corporate partners. Our events also experienced significant growth which we feel can be attributed to the strength of our partnerships. On the policy front, GVF was very active on the federal level as we participated in various legislative trips. I also participated in a group meeting with Senate leadership where I was representing TMAs throughout the U.S. We met with staff from Senator Boxer and Inhofe’s office to discuss the crafting of what would become the MAP21 legislation. GVF has also continued to be very active on the state level with our leadership in the Keystone Transportation Funding Coalition. Thank you again to all of our partners as we couldn’t make these advances for our region without your consistent support! Sincerely, Sincerely, Jeff Guzy, President URS Rob Henry, Executive Director Twitter: @GVFHenry COMMUNIT Y OUTREACH “Community support from organizations like GVF and King of Prussia District is more important now than ever before,” said Bill Clark, president and executive director of Philabundance. “We are experiencing a 29 percent increase in need compared to last year and a 98 percent increase over the last three years, so this donation is going to go a long way in the fight against hunger.” – BILL CLARK, PRESIDENT AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PHILABUNDANCE GVF GIVES BACK GVF and many local donors collected 900 pounds of food for Philabundance.
