The Karachi Pakistan Chapter is part of Region
11 in PMI, which also includes the chapters in
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India and Sri-lanka.

Karachi Pakistan Chapter (KPC) of Project
Management Institute (PMI®), one of the 290
global chapters in 204 countries, was
chartered in March 2006 by PMI. This chapter
is one of the three chapters in Pakistan, other
two being in Islamabad and Lahore. This is a
not-for-profit organization dedicated to the
promotion and application of project
management approach in Pakistan,
specifically in Sindh region.
PMI Karachi Pakistan Chapter has so far
arranged 123 monthly seminars which reflect
consistency of our contribution to the
community. We are also preparing aspirant of
certification in Project Management
Professionals (PMP) to appear in the exams
conducted online by PMI. In addition to our
routine activities we have fly hi initiatives of
extensive membership drive, enhancing the
image of professionals, prompt awarding for
recognition of our members’ meritorious efforts
and concentrating on young students of the
age 6 to 19 years in line with PMIEF (Project
Management Institute Education Foundation)
for cultivating a culture of PM from the child
hood. Chapter’s activities are managed by
dedicated Board of Directors, being volunteers
from different disciplines and industries.
We provide forums for networking and
knowledge sharing by arranging chapter’s
event consistently. PMI KPC Award 2015 and
International Project Management Day will
prove to be a big launching of our new
initiatives and will attract professionals and
corporate sector in forming a culture of
standardization and compliance to PMI proven
methods.
