WELL DONE 007`s! Mission… COMPLETED
WELL DONE 007’s!
Mission… COMPLETED! Wow! We never anticipated the outpouring of energy, creativity and
generosity that made this year’s auction such an amazing success. Together with the most giving
community and talented committee, we raised over $422,000 to benefit the children of St.
Raymond School! We’re still in awe of the outpouring of time, talent and treasure that surrounded
this fantastic event! Chairing the auction was a complete pleasure, and we’re eternally grateful for
the efforts of every person who influenced this incredible outcome.
We sincerely appreciate the contributions of each and every community member who donated or
purchased an item. We’re also deeply indebted to the team of Secret Agents who worked on the
auction committee:

Adopt-A-Family
As our school community heads into the Thanksgiving break, our minds turn to
turkey, giving thanks, and hopefully sharing with others in our community. This
year, your Black Friday shopping can help local families in need.
St. Raymond's Adopt-A-Family program is helping five local families in need of
food, clothing, and gifts for their children. The families' descriptions, and their
needs, can be viewed on the Community Service Learning page on St. Raymond's
website. The password is GoCardinals.
If there is an item that you would like to purchase for a family, please sign up using
the Family Item Sign-Up link. Put your name next to the item(s) that you would like
to give to the family, and bring the item(s) to the office.
If you would just like to help, without signing up, you can bring a gift card
(Safeway, Target, gas) to the office. We will distribute the gift cards as needed.
Just added to our list of families:
Family #5
This family lives in Redwood City in a very run-down apartment. They have three
boys ages 5, 3 and 8 months. The children have severe food allergies and eczema.
Mom and dad would like gift certificates for gas, groceries, and clothes to stores
in the Redwood City area. They also requested gift cards to Toys“R”Us so they can
buy gifts for their children.
Please contact Laurie Halligan at mailto:lauriehalligan@yahoo.com with any
questions.
Christmas Eve Choir and Play
We are looking for children and young adults to participate in our Christmas Eve play and mass choir! On Christmas Eve we will again be having a Nativity play accompanied with singing at 4:30PM, just prior to the 5:15 Vigil mass. All children in the play will stay and sing in the choir during the 5:15 mass. Practices will be in the parish hall (right across from church) for one hour, Sundays right after the 10 o’clock mass. Practice will be on November 30, December 7, 14 and 21 beginning about 11:30AM (just after the post mass doughnut social). Healthy snacks will be provided for the children. We will also have a dress rehearsal on Tuesday, December 23 at 4:00PM. We need readers, singers, angels, shepherds, an inn keeper, lambs, donkeys, and Mary and Joseph. We also need a few older children to help with making play props and set up and break down of the play scenery on Christmas Eve. All are welcome to join in this beautiful and fun celebration of our Lord’s birth. Come enjoy camp for the day! 8:00am – 3:00pm Activities will include fun SPORTS, games, CREATIVE ART PROJECTS and
other recreational events that will keep your child entertained for
the day.

GrowFit’s Active Kids (Grades K-‐2) Join us again this winter for another action packed class of obstacle courses, relay races and other high-‐energy games that will get your students excited about being active in a safe, non-‐competitive environment. During each class... • We take pieces of traditional sports games, like dribbling a basketball or kicking a soccer ball, and blend them together in a fun obstacle course or relay race. Using a variety of sport and fitness equipment we’ve created over a 100 different games that keep every class new and exciting. • Your students will improve upon their agility, balance, coordination, endurance, speed and strength in a safe and non-‐competitive environment. • The focus is on improving, not winning. This method allows students to develop the skills, teamwork and confidence to participate in any fitness/sports activity. This class was designed for children of all skill levels. Grades: K-‐2 Time: 3:00-‐4:00 pm Dates: 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25 Cost: $240 Sign up here: http://www.alareg.com/_straymond HOLIDAY CAMP
