In time we hope to develop these programs to serve more segments of the community and women as well as men. Location: Masonic Hall, 3370 Hopyard Road, Pleasanton This project will introduce community members to the art of quilting and make Quilts of Valor to honor Northern California Veterans who have been wounded in service to our country. A free 1/2 day quilt lesson will result in a Quilt of Valor to be donated to a U.S. Veteran. All equipment and supplies will be provided. Teens will complete a lap quilt. LIVERMORE HOMELESS REFUGE As of November 1, if the weather forecast is for greater than a 20% chance of rain or the temperature is 40 degrees or less, the Refuge will be open for homeless guests to spend the night (if there are enough volunteers to staff the site). You can help make sure the Refuge is open! Volunteers will be needed for varying shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Volunteers must be over 18 years of age.
