Roberto Eduardo Ponce Romay
Invermaster founder and president and CoreCo Central America Fund partner. Roberto has more than 20 years of experience in strategic consulOng for regional projects and investment banking, including experience in transacOons worth more than $2 billion, execuOon of internaOonal growth and expansion projects, por[olio opOmizaOon for business conglomerates, and regional industry consolidaOon projects. He has advised owners and investors on corporate mergers and acquisiOons, debt restructuring, corporate financing, and private capital fundraising. Roberto has worked with clients in almost all LaOn America, especially Mexico, Central America, Colombia, and the southern United States. AddiOonally, he invests in and advises on private investment funds in the United States and LaOn America. Roberto enjoyed a stellar career at Bain & Company, Inc., one of the world’s most presOgious strategic consulOng firms, where he occupied various posiOons ranging from analyst to senior manager. He was part of the founding team for Bain’s offices in Mexico (1997) and Costa Rica (1993), and was a member of the iniOal development team for Bain in Sao Paulo, Brazil (1999).
From 1988 through the present, he has helped manage and direct several commercial, industrial and service undertakings – in both the conceptualizaOon stages and day-­‐
to-­‐day operaOons – as well as various nongovernmental organizaOons (NGOs).
In Central America, he helped conceptualize and develop some of the region’s most important groups, including Grupo Taca, Amaco, and the Paiz and Más por Menos alliance, as well as the almost full takeover of Coca Cola boFling plants and the development of the Grupo De Sola real estate firm, among others. He has been on the Board of Directors for several companies, such as a real estate developer, an investment group, a home accessories manufacturer, and a soMware company in Mexico. He is an acOve partner at CoreCo Holding, a $50 million fund for private capital investments in Central America, and serves as external director for the Board of Directors of a regional hotel chain.
Roberto has frequently been invited to parOcipate in seminars and conferences for INCAE, LaOn Finance and Euromoney. He has also wriFen columns for magazines such as Estrategia y Negocios and The Economist. He has an MBA from INCAE, where he graduated among the top three in his class. A former airplane pilot, he has also worked as an aeronauOcal engineer for the ArgenOne Air Force and the Universidad Católica de Córdoba in ArgenOna. Federico Zamora Cavallini
Vice-­‐president of Invermaster in the Costa Rica office. Mr. Zamora has an MBA from INCAE. He was also part of the founding team for Bain & Company in Costa Rica. From 1988 through the present, he has parOcipated in the management and direcOon of several undertakings, commercial businesses, industrial companies and services, as well as Nongovernmental OrganizaOons (NGOs). The former both during the conceptualizaOon stages as well as for day-­‐to-­‐day operaOons. Federico is currently the second vice president of the Costa Rican Chamber of Industries and president of the Costa Rican Support FoundaOon for Micro and Medium Enterprises, an iniOaOve of the Costa Rican Chamber of Industries. He also represents the Costa Rican private sector before the Development Banking System Advisory Board and other strategic decision-­‐making bodies, including FUNDECOOPERACION, an iniOaOve established during the 1992 Río Summit. At Invermaster he has worked on several strategic regional consulOng projects, in addiOon to corporate valuaOons, mergers and acquisiOons, and corporate finance projects in the security, wealth management, financial services, insurance, and real estate industries, among others. He has also helped create and structurally reorganize a region-­‐wide private capital fund and collaborated on establishing regulaOons for the use of public funds to drive seed capital in Costa Rica.
José Palomo Rodríguez
Jose works as a manager in the Guatemala office. Throughout his tenure at Invermaster he has led projects in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Jose has worked on projects that include strategic consulOng, mergers and acquisiOons, and corporate finance transacOons. Jose has experience in industries such as manufacturing, banking, retail, pharmaceuOcals, real estate and restaurants. Throughout his career in consulOng he has developed franchising strategies, company por[olio analyses and market maps. In addiOon to his experience in consulOng, Jose has advised clients in corporate finance transacOons in the real estate, retail, and restaurant sectors. He has proven financial valuaOon experience in several industries, most notably, in the financial industry, where he led the valuaOon of a prominent banking group with operaOons throughout Central America. Prior to joining Invermaster, Jose worked at the InternaOonal Investment Group, an investment fund in New York City, where he assisted an emerging market bond trader and gained experience developing financial models. Most recently, he has gained experience working in Europe as an intern in Bank Gutmann, where he focused his efforts on their private equity pracOce. José holds an MBA from IESE Business School and a bachelor’s degree in business administraOon from the University of Notre Dame, where he specialized in finance and economics. Jose Pablo Cordero
As a consultant has lead projects related to strategic consulOng, investment banking, and corporate finance in diverse industries and sectors including Retail and Specialty Retail, ConstrucOon Materials (wholesale and retail), Restaurants, Financial Services, Healthcare, Private EducaOon, LogisOcs and TransportaOon, Security, Manufacturing and Agro-­‐industry. He has developed experience in the analysis, structuring and funding of Real Estate development projects, where he has being involved in more than 15 urban and beach developments during the last 4 years, including Private Equity closings for Invermaster. Mr. Cordero has presented projects among the Costa Rican banks and financial insOtuOons, as well as Private Equity funds and mulOlateral financial enOOes, closing more than $20 millions in transacOons in the previous years. José Pablo serves as director at Sonría Dental Clinics, company providing health and oral care services, where he has lead the implementaOon of a new business model in the company´s dental clinics. Prior to this role, he was involved in diverse operaOonal and leadership roles at his family-­‐
owned company dedicated to the distribuOon of mass-­‐
consumpOon goods in Costa Rica.
Before joining Invermaster, he worked as an outsourced financial analyst for Deutsche Bank in New York. José Pablo holds a Masters degree in Business AdministraOon with emphasis in Commerce from Universidad LaOnoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT) and a degree in Business Management from the University of Costa Rica. Edwin Meyers
Consultant with Invermaster Costa Rica, Edwin has experience in business advisory, entrepreneurship, and invesOng. Prior to joining the firm, Edwin served with the Peace Corps as a Community Economic Development volunteer in Costa Rica where he developed projects that contributed directly to the sOmulaOon of a small community’s economic growth. The centerpiece of his service was the creaOon and development of his community’s first microfinance bank. This same bank subsequently financed the start and/or expansion of five regional businesses, all of which Edwin guided so as to make sure that the business owners would make best use of their new capital infusion. Edwin worked as a Research Analyst in Georgetown Economic Services, the US’ leading trade consulOng firm. He helped resolve internaOonal trade disputes by collaboraOng with consultants, lawyers, and industry representaOves. By manipulaOng large databases, he successfully extracted perOnent informaOon that was key for building cases against suspected illegal imports pricings that were threatening the livelihood of the group’s clients. Edwin was also the founder and owner of DC Scooters, a company that he later sold two years aMer its creaOon.
Edwin holds an MBA from INSEAD Business School, during which Ome he interned with Bridges Ventures, a London based social impact venture capital fund. Edwin also hold a B.Sc. from the University of Maryland, where he graduated with in honors and double-­‐majored in MathemaOcs and Economics, and minored in Spanish. Edwin speaks English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Juan Diego has led and executed successful projects involving strategy consultancy, corporate restructuring, corporate finance, regional market mapping, business por[olio opOmizaOon, mergers and acquisiOons and advanced valuaOon models for several conglomerates and presOgious companies in LaOn America. He has honed his consultancy skills in such diverse sectors as hospitality, retail, call centers, security, energy, banking, financial services, logisOcs, agroindustry, and real estate. He has also parOcipated in negoOaOons involving financial restructuring, business analysis and valuaOon, and M&A buyer-­‐ and seller-­‐
side transacOons in Central America, Mexico and Colombia. Before joining the Invermaster team, he gained invaluable markeOng and finance experience in telecommunicaOons and banking, working with well-­‐known mulOnaOonal companies. At Philip Morris InternaOonal, he developed the company’s main brands and created value by increasing the market share. At CiO, as financial analyst, he developed ways of improving services and gained knowledge of the FX market in Central America. Finally, at Union Credit Bank in Miami, he helped the wealth management team increase the client´s LaOn American por[olio by offering financial products such as fixed income and equity investments in the U.S. A cum Laude graduate in business administraOon with minors in finance and entrepreneurship from Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala, he has also taken advanced finance courses from Harvard University and the London School of Economics.

Before coming to Invermaster, Valeria worked as an offshore analyst in Deutsche Bank’s Fixed Income Department in London, where she covered companies located in Russia, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and the Middle East, doing a n a l y s i s a n d fi n a n c i a l m o d e l i n g fo r b a n k i n g , telecommunicaOons, mining, petroleum and gas industries, among others. She has also worked in the Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Inversión (investment funds manager, or S.A.F.I.) of the SecuriOes Exchange, as assistant in specialized por[olios for financial investment funds. Her experience also includes the creaOon of business plans for micro, small and medium enterprises in Costa Rica. Valeria studied business administraOon with an emphasis in finance at La Salle University. She is currently pursuing her MBA with an emphasis in finance, and is fluent in Spanish, English and Russian. Pablo Andrés Tager Penados
Michelle Salas de Castro
Junior Consultant at Invermaster Guatemala, Pablo has Michelle has worked on developing and managing parOcipated in strategic projects and financial valuaOon of enterprises in hotel management, security, real estate, coffee exportaOon, and retail, among other sectors. She has experience in business creaOon, being involved in every phase from feasibility studies and the creaOon process to the administraOon of each business. She has specialized in strategic projects, logisOcs, finances, human resources management, markeOng and sales in each of the companies where she has worked. Before joining the Invermaster team in 2012, Pablo worked on various management and administraOon projects, including business development and commercializaOon at Productos de Peten, a forest product export company, where he implemented a new sales strategy for extending them to El Salvador and Honduras. He also worked in the real estate management department of Spectrum Inmobiliaria, a leading Guatemalan real estate firm. His leadership experOse, stemming from his days as student associaOon leader, includes the coordinaOon of mulOdisciplinary teams.
Pablo studied in the Universidad del Valle in Guatemala, where he graduated as an industrial engineer in 2008; he also studied for a master’s degree in finance from the EADA Business School in Barcelona, Spain in 2012.
Michelle studied business administraOon at the Universidad de Costa Rica and interior design at the Universidad Veritas, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in project management (MBA).
Megan Kuestermann Briz
Megan is an analyst at Invermaster Guatemala. She has parOcipated in strategic and financial valuaOon of enterprises in real estate, retail and agro-­‐industrial sectors.
Prior to Invermaster, Megan did an internship in the Risk Management area of Grupo Financiero de Occidente in Guatemala City. A cum Laude graduate in business administraOon with minor in finance from Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala, she has also taken advanced valuaOon courses from Wallstreet Prep in New York and MarkeOng & InternaOonal Business in EADA Business School in Barcelona, Spain. Megan is fluent in Spanish, English and German.
