What you need to know
• At 6 a.m., the hospital at 327 Reynolds
Street will be permanently closed, including
the emergency department
•At 6 a.m., the emergency department at the
new Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital
located at 3001 Hospital Gate will open
•All inpatients will be moved to the new
hospital on December 13, 2015
•We expect to see higher than average
patient visits in the new emergency
department after it opens. This may impact
patient wait times
To assist with safely moving our patients, managing volumes and delivering care to the sickest
patients on move day, the community is encouraged to seek care for non-life-threatening illness or
injury from their family doctor, a walk-in clinic, or call Telehealth at 1.866.797.0000

FINDING YOUR WAY
AT THE NEW HOSPITAL
PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION
The new hospital is located at 3001 Hospital Gate, which is a new road just west of Third
Line that runs between William Halton Parkway to the north and Dundas Street to the
south. The main vehicle access to the new OTMH is from Hospital Gate.

of the hospital

• Parking Lot #7 is available for patrons of the medical office building
There are three local transit and Para-Transit bus stops on the property located by the East
entrance, North Entrance and the West Entrance. Please check with Oakville Transit for
details about these services.

• Parking Lot #2 is located on the East side of the hospital and provides access to the
main lobby. This is a pay and display lot which means you need to purchase your
ticket at the machine in the parking lot and display it in the window or on the dash of
your car
• Parking Lot #3 is located at the South end of the hospital and provides parking for
those coming to the Emergency Department. There is also a drop-off and pickup area for the South Entrance adjacent to this lot. This entrance is used to pick
up patients from the Patient Discharge Centre and is the after hours entrance for
obstetrical patients
