What is BUB sa Bayan Ko Docufest?
It is a festival that will showcase best BUB stories
In particular, it involves the following activities
1. LPRAT document their BUB stories
2. The DILG RO holds docufest to select best stories and
communicate these stories to the public thru media.
3. The BUB PMO conducts national docufest to select from
among the regional winners and also communicate these stories
to the public.
What do we want to achieve?


How will the documentation be conducted?
Under this component, the LPRAT shall
a) Document BUB projects
b) Make photo documentation
c) Publish newsletter
d) Print BUB calendar (which include a collage of
pictures plus list of 2016 projects) - 1x1 meter
calendar made of tarpaulin)
How will the docufest be done?
• Docufest competitions shall be held at the regional and national
level.
• The DILG RO holds docufest to select best stories and communicate
these stories to the public thru media
• The BUB PMO conducts national docufest to select from among the
regional winners and also communicate these stories to the public
• Awards will be given to the winners.
The good BUB stories shall be selected based on the
following criteria:
• Portrayed positive results/impact;
• Interesting or have a broad and popular appeal;
• Boosted people’s participation and transparent and accountable
governance;
• Exhibited efficient program or project implementation;
• Write up and project documentation are well written;
• Pictures are impressive, interesting and relevant.
How will the communication to the public
be carried out?
In communicating to the public, the ff key messages shall include:
• BUB funds priority local projects identified by the citizens
and local governments;
• Gives citizens groups power to decide on priority projects;
• encourages LGUs to practice transparency, citizen
engagement and accountability; and
• Provides more resources to LGUs provided that they improve
governance systems.
