We gather together about 300 strong each summer to build friendships and worship together at our camp — this year at Camp Tejas near Giddings, TX. Fish Camp Kids you don’t want to miss Fish Camp 2011. Our theme this year will be “Cross Training for the Christian Life”, with a focus on the book of Daniel; his struggles, victories and triumph in God’s service. We will have Bible study, worship, recreation, swimming and loads of fun! Sabine Creek Ranch offers “The Blob”, archery, swimming, air-conditioned cabins, and plenty of outdoor space to explore. Camp offers you the opportunity to meet new friends, learn independence, spend time alone with God, and to study the Bible, Worship, and have loads of fun! Coach Barbour has 16 years of middle school and high school coaching experience most recently at Plano West Senior High School from 1999 – 2006. Larry holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in health and physical education from Baylor University. He is a member and deacon at Prestonwood Baptist Church and has been involved in leading basketball camps and leagues at PCBC for the past 14 years. For the past 12 years Tammy Owens, founder and director of Dancing Angels Ministry, began with a mission to teach children how to honor and worship God through the gift of dance. As a dance educator, Miss Tammy has developed a unique program that reaches the hearts and spirits of young girls while introducing them to the techniques of ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, drill team and more. With a kind and nurturing teaching style, the Dancing Angels staff weaves the love of Christ into every aspect of class, inspiring their students to dance for the glory of God. Damon Berry Damon Berry is on staff at Park Cities Baptist as Minister of Sports Outreach. He has over 10 years of experience working with children and youth both as a coach, camp director and teacher. Damon is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University where he was a member of the tennis team. Damon is married and has one daughter. Cole Johnson Cole Johnson is the assistant basketball coach at Naaman Forest High School in Garland. Coach Johnson is a graduate of Greenville College in Illinois where he earned a B.S. in education and was a member of the basketball team. Cole has been coaching PCBC Basketball Camps for the past 11 years. Cole is married and has 3 sons. Roddy Willis Rev. Roderick Willis graduated from Cedarville University with a BA in Biblical Studies. He earned a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is completing a PhD in Higher Education at University of North Texas and Dallas Theological Seminary. He has +10 years of ministry experience and loves to see kids and families grow closer to Jesus. Roddy is the Dodgeball Camp #2 Director along with serving as Sports Outreach Intern in Basketball, Soccer, 4 Daze of Craze, Wacky Games and Dayspring Camps. Marilyn and Allie Mootz Beginners: Comp. 1st – 5th Grade Advanced: Comp. 5th – 8th Grade Marilyn and Allie Mootz are college aged sisters and PCBC members who enjoy spending time in the kitchen, both baking and cooking. They are exited about meeting new faces, preparing dishes and sharing their love of cooking with others. She has taught Pre-K Sunday School and VBS at PCBC for several years. Renee also spent many years as a camp counselor at Camp Dayspring and as Camp Director of Kids Kamp. Currently, Renee keeps busy raising her two daughters and baking and decorating cakes. Tom O’Brien Tom O’Brien, PCBC member for the last 19 years, helped launch the Upward Basketball program at PCBC and has also served as a coach, commissioner and referee. Tom has been a counselor at Fish Camp, Camp Dayspring and volunteered with Royal Ambassadors and currently serves as an 8th grade Sunday School Teacher at PCBC where his wife and two children are also actively involved. Brian Simpson Brian Simpson, director of Triumph Sports is a coach/teacher in the Northwest ISD at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club. He holds two degrees in marketing and speech from Point Loma Nazarene University in California. While in college he participated in soccer, baseball and the speech/debate teams. Brian has worked in sports marketing for the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Chargers. Coach Simpson has over 16 years experience in sports camp administration and has worked with PCBC camps for the past 6 years. Jennifer Swayze Riordan Jennifer Swayze Riordan received a B.F.A. in Studio Art with All-Level Teaching Certification from Baylor University and a Masters degree in Art Education from Texas Women’s University. Jennifer is an Art Specialist with the University Park Elementary Highland Park ISD and has taught after school Art Classes and summer Art Camps at Park Cities Baptist Church for the past seven years. Christie Warden Christie Warden has coached volleyball teams in Excel Volleyball Club, Texas Assault Volleyball Club, Allen Sports Association, Plano Sports Authority, and the Home School Athletic Association (HSAA). Christie also has many years of experience coaching Upward cheerleading and directing cheer camps. Coach Warden is currently the head coach of Excel’s 16s Red National volleyball team. Christie is IMPACT certified. She is married and has four wonderful children. She and her family are members of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, TX. Betty Sue Welch Betty Sue Welch has taught and coached tennis for over 36 years at the local, state, collegiate, national and international levels. In 1999 she was inducted into the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame and in 2009 she was inducted to the Texas Tennis Coaches Hall of Fame. Coach Welch has a B.A. from SMU in PE and speech, and a M.Ed. From UT Austin in PE and Special Ed. She is an USPTA tennis professional, a USTA umpire and referee, and the State Sport Director for tennis for Special Olympics Texas.
