Credentials
MediaCityUK is the world’s first BREEAM
approved sustainable community.
--
Our trigeneration power plant will help minimise
CO2 emissions by centralising heating and cooling
equipment. It will utilise water from the Manchester
Ship Canal, before returning it cleaner than before.
--
During construction we’ve used the ship canal to
transport materials, reducing the amount of emissionheavy motorway journeys by wagon.
--
We want people travelling to MediaCityUK to use
public transport wherever possible. Salford Quays
is already served by Greater Manchester’s light rail
network, Metrolink, and MediaCityUK’s very own tram
terminus opened in 2010. We’re also installing 300
cycle bays at points across the site.
