Students follow five weeks of teaching, learning and assessment and then one week of Review and Development, known as RAD Week. This means you can see your progress as you complete one module in full, before moving on to the next. Benefits of the 5:1 Model Simple structure to your college work - you concentrate on one unit at a time and can really focus on what you are learning. Allows you to measure your progress - you will complete a unit every six weeks. Avoids lots of deadlines at the end of the year - you complete assessments for each unit as you go along. Allows you to understand what you’re studying and when - this puts you in control of your learning. Allows you to improve and be more successful - you will have the opportunity to go back and improve your grade in any units you’ve already completed. The 5:1 model provides a useful time management structure which is helpful in preparing me for university and the workplace.
